My friends and I wanted a nice little spot to have a mini vacation and enjoy all that Portland has to offer. We absolutely loved the house and the neighborhood. We would definitely come back - the owner was very pleasant to work with. The living room, dining room, kitchen and bedrooms were charming and comfortable.
We staid 6 nights mid august in Casa Bella.
The house is located in Irvington a historical district of Portland.
It was perfect to visit Portland. Downtown is only at 15 minutes drive.
Clean, well equipped with a backyard where we enjoyed our evening meals. Restaurants and shop are only three blocks and can be reach by foot.
The owners live next door and are very friendly and we thank them a lot.
We really enjoyed our stay in the Casa Bella home. My children were impressed (yeah for me!) that I had found such a nice, homey place. The home was clean and very nice with plenty of towels and bedding. We also enjoyed making dinner there and picking blackberries on the patio in the morning sun. Would definitely stay there again if the opportunity arose.
It was very conveniently located to allow us to sightsee in Portland
We stayed at Casa Bella for three nights (2 adults, 3 children). The house was perfect for our stay in Portland, allowing us to feel like we had a "home base" while we explored the city. The house is cozy and comfortable, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds comfortable, and the owners (who live next door) friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is a huge plus--Irvington is a great place to walk, jog, explore with plenty of shops & restaurants. There is a Safeway within walking distance and too many coffee shops, bakeries, etc. to list. We definitely would stay here again.
We spend two nights at CasaBella before a six night family reunion with extended family in Hood River and we found this to be a very comfortable home for our adult daughter and her husband and us. The beds were comfortable, there were enough fans to keep us comfortable in unusual heat (house not air conditioned), very functional kitchen, table for four, and a fabulous location. The Irvington neighborhood district is gorgeous and the many restaurant choices on nearby Broadway made for enjoyable walks and great meals. We also walked downtown and back which was fun. Our host Jeff was very helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.
Our family relocated to Portland and stayed in Jeff's home for five weeks while we looked for a long-term rental. We enjoyed our stay at Casa Bella so much that we're hoping to buy a house in Irvington! The location is excellent - walking distance to Safeway (and Whole Foods, a bit farther but walkable, Peets Coffee and several restaurants (we particularly liked Yuki Sushi and Aztec Willy's) - a central place from which you can explore all of Portland. The location is great for families with small children, since the house is very close to Irvington Park and Irvington Elementary School, which has a great playground.
The duplex itself is very comfortable - the kitchen is well stocked with everything you'd need to cook at home, lots of towels and sheets and a washer/dryer downstairs. Parking on the street, right outside the house, is always available.
The best part of this rental is the owners - Jeff and Elizabeth did everything possible to make us feel welcome and comfortable. They are just really lovely people.
