LUXURY CABIN ON S. BOULDER CK! HIKE OUT DOOR, FLY-FISH FROM DECK!

We had the luxury of staying at the Diamond T Lodge for a week long vacation and plan to make it an annual event now! The large master suite can sleep at least 5 people with an air mattress on the floor, guest bedroom can sleep at least 4 with an air mattress on its floor, as well. In between both bedrooms is a spa-like bathroom that has a whirlpool tub and huge shower equipped with a bench. Keep in mind, there are windows throughout this house to allow for you to take a peek outside every step you take, all the while enjoying the luxuries of the lavish interior. If you're a cook, the kitchen has every cooking utensil and appliance you could possibly think of. Coffee drinker? We found at least 3 ways to make coffee!! The "Wolf's Den" is a man's dream cave, equipped with another spacious full bathroom. Two decks (one off the master suite and one around practically the entire first floor) open up to a view of a river, which is private and teeming with fresh fish. Of course, if you aren't a water person, you can just look in any other direction: the view is 360 degrees wide. You cannot get bored up there. Try the hot tub while it's a little chilly outside and the stars are out...that is a life-changing experience. Like the sauna instead? Check out the full gym they have in the garage across the driveway. Caution: if you work out in the gym, be easy on yourself. That altitude is no joke!!
Working down the mountain, we went to Costco right outside the foothills in Boulder and headed up to PineCliffe, but Nederland is where you want to visit for food, entertainment, and shopping. EVERY person in the city is friendly and eager to help in any way they can. We loved the coffee and pastries and New Moon Café, but every coffee shop there is a good one. Khatmandu has some awesome, authentic Nepalese food and, if you ask, they will open their gift shop next door for you to look around!
The ski resort we went to, Eldora, has slopes for the beginner to the expert and is only a 15 minute drive from the house. They have cheap rentals, and if you're military, they offer a discount if you ask.
I cannot say enough good things about this exquisite lodge. There needs to be a Diamond T Lodge in every nook of the world! The owners were kind enough to leave us the handyman's number, not that we needed it because everything was working perfectly. I recommend you RUN, not walk, to this hidden gem! I know I will very soon!!

Many thanks to you all for opening your beautiful home to us for our vacation. We had a wonderful time with all of the fall colors and even had a dusting of snow one morning. Everything was cozy and welcoming...the wine was the perfect compliment to our dinners. Thank you again. Due to icing on the roads late Friday, we had to leave early but we plan to return in the future for another memorable time.

Beautiful home in a beautiful place, everything you could possibly need and everything the best quality. The rooms are large with lots of windows looking out into the forest. The beds are even tempur-pedic. The owner is very kind and always a pleasure to work with. There is a train track near the house and the trains do run several times a day, but it rather adds to the charm of the place. Very pet friendly, too. We loved it and hope to return!
