3 bedrooms, 1 sleeping alcove, 1 1/2 baths, 6 or 7 adults , more if children

Our roomy 1600+ sq feet cottage is completely renovated providing the charm of an earlier time with the amenities guests have come to expect and appreciate. The kitchen is fully equipped for eating in (including a dishwasher and extra large frig/freezer).

There are 2 bedrooms and a sleeping alcove upstairs that can sleep 6; downstairs a completely separate multi-purpose room has a convertible bed, (for 1 adult or 2 children) 1/2 bath & washer/dryer.

Atmosphere: The Cottage is located on a quiet side road that 'hugs the western banks of the Sacandaga River. Enjoy the sounds while relaxing on the deck , sitting at the fire pit or rocking on the enclosed porch. Step out and view the river's changing character while sitting at the riverbank or walking the 4 mile lightly traveled road. View a waterfall right down the road.

Amenities: The Cottage has everything you need for a relaxing and pleasant stay. Dining is easy and pleasant with service for 8 and everything thing you need to prepare your meals. It has both internet and TV.

The Cottage in Benson is located right off Route 30 in the Town of Benson, Hamilton County, 3 miles north of the village of Northville. The Cottage offers easy access to all your favorite summer activities. The Great Sacandaga Lake boat launch is 5 minutes away. It is perfect for a couple but big enough for 6 or 7 adults or a group of 8 plus if there are young children. It offers an environment equally suited for relaxing all day by the river or returning each evening after a great day trip. Enjoy the deck, grill & fire pit.

Golf: There are a number of very nice courses within traveling distance. We love Fox Run in Johnstown and a trip to Inlet is worth it. Locally there is a great 9 hole course in the Sacandaga Park.

Ski: Lapland Cross Country skiing is 'down the road,' only six miles from the cottage.

My family including 2 adult children recently stayed at the Cottage in Benson. The cottage is very roomy and had all the amenities we needed including a well equipped kitchen. The pellet stove kept us warm and cozy and the location was excellent.

We met some friends here for a long weekend and had a fantastic time. The cottage had more than everything we needed. Very clean and well kept. We could all really enjoy being together again without worrying about any cottage issues. Many fun activities to do within a 5 minute drive.

My family including adult children and grandchildren, stayed at the Cottage in Benson during the hottest week of the summer. It has many amenities including a fan in every room which made our stay very comfortable. The cottage is one of many surprises with a complete kitchen, very clean and roomy and breezy.
There is shopping, good food, lake activities and exploring the river within five or six minutes from the cottage.
A great time was had by all!
