Situated right on the Sandy River, River Rock is a 2800 sq. ft. timber-framed cabin perfect for congregating with friends, family, or business associates, as well as Mother Nature! Built around a truly 'great' room, River Rock provides the ideal place to have great conversations with friends and family or even hold a casual, yet productive, business meeting.

This lodge-like cabin has 4 bedrooms; all queen sized beds, and a full size futon in the loft. The spacious master suite has spectacular vaulted ceilings and a private bathroom with his/hers sinks, Jacuzzi tub, and shower. There is also a full bathroom on each floor for a total of 3 full baths.

The large, vaulted great room/dining area provides a wonderful space for relaxing, while the roomy loft above is a great escape to catch up on your favorite movies, music, and books, or to engage in an aggressive game of Monopoly! If you love to cook like we do, then you will really enjoy the fully equipped spacious kitchen, which provides plenty of space to cook AND entertain a group of friends at the same time. We have had 4 cooks and 6 (wine) spectators with no problems!

When it is time to venture outside, awaiting you is an oversized deck that can entertain your group...and then some! And be sure to bring along your marshmallows, because the fire pit makes great S'mores! So whether it is a family reunion, old friends getting together, or a small business retreat, River Rock, along with its siblings, Rainbow and Eagle's Nest, will definitely provide the space you need to comfortably enjoy your stay on the mountain.

Beautiful, Comfortable, Spacious Mountain House

Highly, highly recommend this home if you are looking for a beautiful, comfortable, well stocked, spacious home for a large group (or even a smaller group). Lots of exposed wood in the house with big windows & a vaulted ceiling for an awesome view of the soaring pines and bubbling Sandy River. Nice great room floor plan with a large, but cozy living room & a long dining room table. Huge master plus 3 comfortable bedrooms with plenty of room for spreading out (also a large loft with a play area & futon for even more guests to sleep). Lovely gourmet kitchen with every tool & appliance that one can think of. Gas BBQ. Great deck and fire pit right next to the river. Super family friendly with plenty of toys, games, movies, etc... Perfect for our crew of 6 adults, 3 kids, & 2 dogs to cook, dine, relax & game in between outdoor activities. Really friendly & accommodating owner. Our crew has rented a number of dog / family friendly houses and we all agreed that this one is our favorite.

Beautiful, spacious home with large living area

Our family of eight adults and three little ones (age three, two, and 8 mos) stayed here for the Thanksgiving weekend. Angela (the owner) was really easy to work with, answered our many questions, and was very accommodating. The home is lovely and the large living area on the main level has plenty of room for everyone. There was even a Pack 'N Play, baby gate, and high chair, which saved us from bringing all of that with us. The kitchen is very well equipped -- plenty of spices, and basics as well as cookware. When I asked about a crockpot, Angela even went to the trouble of bringing her own over for our use. The furnishings are beautiful and the beds are comfortable. And the owners were extremely generous with good quality towels, which we really appreciated and have not found in most other VRBOs. The Sandy River is rushing by, right outside the kitchen window. The views from all rooms are beautiful. The guys in the family walked to the tavern to watch the Oregon/OSU game and really appreciated its proximity. The little local store has the basics, which is helpful in case you forget anything. We took the little ones on a pine cone hunt walk along the river. We would love to stay here again.

We Love this House!

The pictures just don't do this house justice. The house and property is so nice and peaceful. We had our wedding here and couldn't have picked a better place for a small intimate setting. Some of my favorite features in the house: speakers throughout the house with volume adjustments for each room including outdoors; Lighting dimmers and adjustments for each room; three bathrooms-all size-able; the vast amount of natural light that flows through the numerous windows throughout the house is amazing; and finally the master bedroom is one of the most beautiful places to wake up to in the morning, especially if the window is open and you can hear the river flowing. Really i could go on and on about this house, but i will say that every one of our guests made a comment about how nice the house, property and flowing Sandy river were. We highly recommend this place!
