More Than What It Promises!

I had a wonderful experience this past weekend with this apartment. My boyfriend and I took a break from work and college to visit the Flying Pigs Farm. The renovated barn is warm, cozy, and delightfully decorated; the barn is rustic with modern touches such as local slate work in the bathroom and a gourmet, well equipped kitchen (stocked with all the spices, dishes, and pots and pans you will ever need). The sitting room, attached to the kitchen, has a TV with a DVD player and variety of DVDs. The bedroom and bathroom are also nicely decorated and well kept. While the apartment is small, its perfect for two to three people (albeit, it can sleep four and seat even more around the kitchen table).
My only caution towards future renters is to remember there are no curtains! It's a little embarrassing to remember that when you're in the midst of cooking breakfast in very old pajamas with your hair undone :-) Besides occasionally (I think only twice during our three days) seeing employees and friends of the farmers and the office door being opened and shut, there is a lot of privacy! I was originally concerned about the office being attached to the apartment, but I quickly forgot about it.
This apartment is perfect for anyone looking to relax and escape. The apartment is about ten minutes from a very small town with lots of cool antique stores, fresh produce stands, and independently owned restaurants. But the entertainment really has to come from the renters or from asking the locals. Luckily the owner, Jen Smalls, was very welcoming, answered all our silly questions, and left the food stocked with the basics: eggs, butter, milk, sausage, and beer! I will certainly come back with ever I have the chance. (I'm already recommending it to my friends and family!)
