We stayed at the Lodge at the end of June for a few days while exploring Northern Michigan, and had an exceptional visit. The accommodations were very comfortable, private and unbelievably CLEAN. The lodge is set on a generous parcel of natural woodlands, giving you the feeling that you're far, far away from the city. The immediate property surrounding the lodge is beautifully landscaped and maintained, with good dirt roads for access by car, and secured with an entry gate system. There is a lovely pond that you can see from the lodge window, which draws an assortment of interesting wildlife. I can imagine how amazing it would be to watch the deer on a snowy winter's day! We'd like to make a return visit when the seasons change. I wish we'd had more time to hike the trails a bit. The kitchen is complete and has everything you can possibly imagine...from coffee in the morning to carefully chosen wines, and nuts for later in the day. The thing we liked BEST, were the gracious hosts, who welcomed us, spent time telling us about the things we might want to do in the area, and were attentive to any need. It felt like being with family... only better! Definitely will return for a longer stay.
