Naughty Pines is a quiet, private 2 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom cabin located in Pine Cove, CA, just a short drive (higher elevation) from the town of Idyllwild.

Located on the edge of Pine Cove and at the end of a street, Naughty Pines is not only private, but very quiet as well. Positioned on the side of a gently sloping mountain, the cabin has treetop and valley views and is next to a seasonal stream.

On the main floor, the cabin features a fully-equipped kitchen, laundry room, dining area, living room with fireplace and flat screen TV. The living room sliding glass door opens up to the expanded private outdoor deck and view.

Also downstairs is the master bedroom with en suite bathroom and a powder room in the main hallway.

Upstairs, there is a loft with comfy leather chair and desk and an additional bedroom with a large, over-sized dormer window to take in the forever views.

Please note that cabin occupancy is limited to 4 individuals. Holiday weekends require a 3 night minimum.

About Paul Zapala

We live in Palm Springs and love coming up to Idyllwild. We didn't intend on buying a cabin, but when we saw this one come on the market, we couldn't resist. Perfect combination of peace and quite, views and privacy.

This is an ideal location at the end of the street. It has great views, is very private, and isn't in a crowded area of cabins. Being the last house on the street and with a strong slope to the next lot, you don't have a house in the view's way.

This is the ultimate getaway for those that want to check out and just enjoy some peaceful mountain air and scenery. You relax the minute you step on the deck. Put some bird seed in the bird feeder and watch the wildlife around you.

This is my second trip to Naughty Pines in less than a year.....we were going to make it an annual event but couldn't wait that long!! My bestie and I use it for our Mom's getaway weekend to craft and relax. It's perfect! It has everything you need, great amenities, super comfortable cabin with comfy furnishings......and the perfect setting. Walking out on the deck you are amazed by the silence except for the birds and squirrels. It's so peaceful! You couldn't ask for anything more....just the best!!

Amazing! We have used VRBO all over the world and our experience at Naughty Pines in Idyllwild topped the charts. Very organized, very clean, very comfortable. Exceeded expectations.
Its better in person than the website conveys, which is already convincing. We now have our local go to getaway spot.
great job on keeping a great place. I think I have become a novice Ornithologist.

A Little Piece of Heaven

What a lovely place. We came up for a family weekend and couldn't have found a better place. We really enjoyed our relaxing stay. We enjoyed walks around the town and neighborhood. Mom really enjoyed spending the day on the wonderful deck watching the wildlife and birds. And our dog loved watching all the wildlife from the deck as well - although she wasn't too happy when the jays would steal a peanut or two that she had her eyes on as well. As everyone else has stated it came completely stocked with anything you could need. Paul provided a great welcome book which gave suggestions of places to hike, the types of wildlife in the area, restaurants, etc. He was very responsive to our questions and concerns. We look forward to coming back

relaxing getaway

The cabin was clean, beautiful, quiet and exactly as it looked in the pictures. The views from the upstairs bedroom and decks was awesome. The cabin is far enough from town to be private but close enough to run in and enjoy for a couple of hours and was only one hour from Palm Springs for a day trip (which was a lot of fun because we went on a Thursday and were able to enjoy the tram, hiking, and the evening Street Fair/Farmers Market). We loved spending time on the deck enjoying bird watching. We live in the heart of the city so going out at night and looking at all the stars was a treat. Seeing a baby deer walking through a neighbor's yard as we were driving up the hill was a treat. It was a great and relaxing trip and we'll rent this cabin again in the future.

The cabin fulfilled all of our expectations. It is very clean and very well kept and arranged thoughtfully. My wife and I essentially felt right at home. The setting is very peaceful that you even forget you are awary from fome. If you like squirrels and bird watching spend some time at the deck, you can even provide some food for the birds and you can feed bread crumbs to the squirrels. Enjoy and we know that you will want to return.
