1 bedroom, 1 full bathroom, most comfortably sleeps 2, has room for three.

This modest cottage is perfectly located to EVERYTHING that makes Austin the great city that it is. The Carrington Bluff Tree House is an 800 square foot, two story house with one large bedroom and full bathroom up in the trees. The house comfortably sleeps 2, but two fold out couches make room for 3. A full kitchen provides all that you need to make a simple meal and an outside patio is perfect for relaxing and entertaining. Three parking places are available, one carport and two permits for street parking.

Location, location, location! Carrington Bluff Tree House is located close to the 24th Street and Lamar Blvd intersection. It is within walking distance of the University of Texas, specifically 8 blocks to the campus and just a 20 minute walk to the stadium. Also close by and only a mile away is the Whole Foods flagship store, Book People, Waterloo Records, and many, many excellent restaurants. Some of the best bike riding trails can be accessed only 3 blocks away at Pease Park; bikes can be easily rented at University Cyclery (29 & Lamar) or Ozone Bike Depot (Guadalupe @ 32nd Street). A city bus stop is 3 blocks away and the Utexas shuttle is 2 blocks away. A cab ride downtown should be no more than $10.

You really do feel like you are in a treehouse when you are in the bedroom! This place is walking distance from campus which makes it better than staying in a hotel. Our stay was very short so we did not use the kitchen or TV but they appeared to be in working order. The house was very clean which was very important to us. Having a parking spot in West Campus was also very convenient. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely time at the tree house. Everything was clean, crisp, and had all of the essentials. We booked on very short notice; the owner was extremely helpful, and had every kind of informative pamphlet on Austin, restaurants, etc. It is close to campus, whole foods, and numerous places to enjoy. The only complaint is the vast number of college students one must pass through to walk anywhere. But truly it is a fantastic location and beautiful place to stay.

Very convenient for SXSW

We stayed here for almost a week for SXSW. It was nice to be close enough to all of the activity, while also staying in a nice quiet secluded neighborhood. It's walking distance from food, and *dangerously* close to Amy's Ice Cream. The hosts were very helpful leading up to our trip, answering questions and information about the surrounding area. The only thing we ran into was having enough plugs to charge all our gadgets. We made it work though.

Cozy and convenient!

Spent three nights here this past weekend and loved it! It was over 100 degrees outside, but we never felt it inside. The house is cozy and cool, and surrounded by shade trees. Not only is the place adorable inside and out, it is quite convenient to downtown, the museum district, campus area -- just about anyplace you need to be! Very easy, very comfortable, very clean and relaxing. I hated to leave!
