PEACEFUL

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I stayed at this charming cottage on Labor Day weekend last year and returned again on Memorial Day weekend this year. We could not have been more pleased with the accommodations, the friendliness of the owners, and the generosity of their spirit! The only reason I'd give a negative review would be so that nobody else would find our hidden gem!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING EXPERIENCE!

  • 5 of 5
This is the second time my fiance and I have stayed at the cottage and both times have been amazing! The cottage is immaculate, comfortable, and peaceful while the property is spectacular! It's completely central to everything and Pat and Scott are extremely hospitable and enjoyable. We come back to the area every year and will hopefully get to continue to stay at the cottage! Sincerely, Tim and April

HOME AWAY FROM HOME

Beautiful place! Patricia and Scott were very nice, and thoughtful. We were given fresh eggs and Orange Juice for breakfast. The cottage was very clean, well stocked, and felt larger inside then expected. We really enjoyed our stay here, thanks!

PERFECT COTTAGE FOR FAMILY STAY

  • 5 of 5
Cottage was perfect for the four of us (two adults a pre-teen and a teenager). The attic area provided plenty of room for the kids. Cross country skied around the picture perfect farm and had fun sledding on the hills. Skied at Sugarbush. Internet access was great. Enjoyed our break and hope to return in the Summer.

PROPERTY AS ADVERTISED

The perfect Vermont experience. This cabin is very cozy, clean, and homey, and is equipped with every amenity you should need. Even though the house is right on top of the cottage, your hosts respect your privacy. I really liked that fact that it is pretty much located right in the middle of Vermont, so I could head out and explore Vermont attractions in any direction. Just an overall enjoyable experience. Highly recommended.

THE PERFECT SPOT

  • 5 of 5
I stayed here with two friends while we were celebrating our 20th Friendiversary. It was perfect in every way.

The cottage was charming indeed. Two bedrooms (I guess technically a bedroom and a loft), one bath, living room, kitchen, and porch. The listing says it sleeps four, but I think it arguably sleeps five if you have two people to a bed and one on the couch. I spent two very comfortable nights on that couch.

The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking accouterments and we were pleasantly surprised to find orange juice, cream, and coffee there for our use. We made dinner there every night.

The property was gorgeous and Pat and Scott were incredibly friendly and welcoming hosts. There were dogs on the property and chickens running around. As an added bonus at the time we were there, there were five-day old puppies to peep at.

We truly had a wonderful time here. The property is gorgeous, the cottage is charming and comfortable, and Pat and Scott are very hospitable.

Notes:
CrossHaven Cottage is located on a working farm. It is well equipped, but pretty much a 'fend for yourself' accommodation. By that we mean that there is no wait-staff or housekeeping other than when guest depart. We will do everything we can to be hospitable and love getting to know our guests. But, the animals have to eat, the hay has to be cut, and so on. We prefer couples / friends who will appreciate the specialness of CrossHaven Farm and enjoy its beauty and access to many of the wonderful attractions in the Mad River / Stowe / Montpelier area -- and beyond throughout Vermont.
