'River Bend' - peaceful, serene, Hiawassee River frontage

A FISHERMAN'S DREAM! Catch your supper and never leave your peaceful surroundings. Decking hangs right over Hiawassee River.

River Bend: Your family wants a vacation in the mountains, maybe hiking in the woods, maybe a chance to wet their toes in the river, perhaps visit some of the cute antique shops, or enjoy the local flavor. All you want to do is GO FISHING! You've been dreaming of it all year long. Now's your chance. Just toss your line off the back deck, pull your hat down low over your face, and kick back and relax. The setting is serene with enough space for the whole family to enjoy. We hope you will have a great catch because this back deck comes complete with a dutch oven, charcoal grill, and plenty of dining space. Later, spend a quite evening around the fireplace or sitting at the large island telling fish tales.

After a full day of fishing we know you will want to relax in your king-sized bed in the master bedroom. There is also a futon couch/sleeper for extra sleeping space and a private bath. The second bedroom has a queen sized bed and a love seat that is perfect for quiet reading time or watching a little TV. Most rooms in this home have views of the river.

Plenty of windows to let in the sunshine and a large front yard for children to run and play.

You will be close enough to town to be convenient to restaurants (just in case that fishing thing doesn't work out for you), shopping, and all the fun and activities of the surrounding lakes and mountains yet far enough away to enjoy your privacy and country life.

There is a landline at this home, but no cell service.

This property is in Hayesville, NC (Clay County), part of the Tusquittee Mountain Range. Lake Chatuge is a beautiful mountain lake featuring 2 large marinas and several smaller, as well as scenic lakeside restaurants. Fires Creek & Tusquitte Creek are nearby for great trout fishing. The John C. Campbell Folk School and GA Mountain Fairgrounds have festivals, fairs & live entertainment.

Hiking trails, whitewater rafting, mountain biking, fishing, boating, jet skiing, tubing, dining, shopping, antiquing, wine tasting, an arts community and the opportunity to just relax and do nothing!

Find great mountain golf at 5 beautiful public or semi public mountain golf courses/resorts within 30 minutes of the house! Spend an afternoon on Lake Chatuge with 133 miles of shoreline, and boat or jet ski rentals available at several marinas. Hike the Appalachian Trail or anywhere in the vast Nantahala National Forest. Just a two hour drive from the major cities of Atlanta.
