3 bdrm/3 bath main house and attached 2 bdrm guest house with shared bath

This comfortable and roomy adobe home is ideal for a group of friends or a large family. It is located at the end of a secluded dead-end street with lovely private gardens, outdoor eating areas with views toward the mountains. This is a real oasis located about 1/2 way between the Plaza and Museum Hill in the historic Eastside.

The main house has 3 large bedrooms (king, queen and two twins) each with their own bath and fireplace. The attached guest house is a two bedroom that sleeps 4, but only has one bath that must be shared. This guest house is very comfortable with its own kitchen, private entry and separate garden. There is access between the main house and guest house if desired, or they can be kept separate.

This is a unique and beautiful home with historic significance. It is tastefully decorated and has an open feel with the touches that are typical of older adobe homes like plaster walls, nichos, wooden-beamed ceilings and a kiva fireplace in every room.

You will have a feeling of old Santa Fe, but the home has all the modern conveniences as the result of an extensive remodel in 2011. The beds and linens are top quality and new. All of the appliances in the main house are new and the home has all the amenities like wireless internet and premium cable TV. The home decor is a blend of our Southwest roots (I'm from California and Jane is from south Texas) and our adopted Thai homeland where I work as a geologist. Jane is an artist and most of the artwork on the walls are naturally her own. The home is comfortable in all seasons with radiant heating and evaporative cooling (for a touch of humidity).

This house is a unique property in the heart of Santa Fe's Historic Eastside. We are proud to share this home and know you'll like it as much as we do.

Perfect choice

This charming casita was perfect for our vacation. It was close to the historic Santa Fe Plaza and the Canyon Rd art galleries. We chose to drive to the Plaza but could have walked. We did walk to Canyon Rd & avoided the hassle of parking and traffic on a busy art walk evening. The property was very clean, well equipped and maintained, tastefully decorated, and had a very comfortable bed. However, what we liked best about the casita was the atmosphere. Even though this property is in the heart of Santa Fe, it has the feelilng of being in the country. It's in a very quaint neighborhood with adobe homes tucked away along narrow passages, perfect for taking a leisurely walk. There are incredible views from the living room and bedroom of the mountains & the beautiful Santa Fe landscape. It was peaceful & relaxing to come in from a long day of sightseeing & sit out on the patio & enjoy a beautiful Santa Fe evening. We did not use the 2 fireplaces but we would like to come back in the winter, hopefully when it is snowing. I'm an outside person but I would love to be stuck inside snuggled up on the comfortable sofa with a good book, occasionally gazing out the big picture window. Bottom line, you won't be disappointed with this property.

Far away yet close to everything

This Casita must have the best location in Santa Fe - close to town and Canyon Road, but backed on to a greenbelt so that you can sit outside, look at the mountains (or the stars!), and feel like you're out in the countryside.
We arrived late on Christmas eve to find that the owners had set up a christmas tree with lights, and had left us a bottle of wine and a pack of coffee - such a lovely welcome.
We spent a week exploring town and surrounds (Bandelier Park, skiing, sledding) and it was always nice to come home to this comfortable and well-equipped home. I appreciated that basics such as trash bags, extra toilet paper and even cling wrap were provided - all we had to get was food.
Great place for kids too, as they could play outside in the courtyard area without us having to worry that they might get into the road.
We would definately stay here again!
