Spring Break 2013

Overall my family had a wonderful time in Siesta Key and staying at the "Treehouse". I am by far a picky traveler, and I usually hate reviews because I never know the personality of the writer, but I will do my best to be accurate. The place was HUGE and perfect for our large group. There were 7 adults, 4 kids ages 6-11 and two kids under 2. The rooms were big enough to have my kids sleep in with me in a pack and play and blow up mattress. The pool was clean and heated, and the kids absolutely loved having their own pool. The walk to the beach was very easy and short. The walk to the village was a bit longer, and not awful, but with small kids it was easier to drive. We tried the free taxi, but at spring break it was very hard to get one. The only complaint I would have, and I use this term loosely because I already called and tried to book for next year, so I would come back and stay again was the fold out couch. My mother was going to be sleeping on the fold out couch and the first night we opened it up, it was not sleepable. It was sunken in so much and very worn. I can sleep almost on anything, and there is no way I would sleep on that. Luckily we had air mattresses to sleep on, but that was a bit disapointing because we had counted on that bed to use, and if my dad would have came we would have never had enough beds without that. I think it's time for that piece of furniture to be replaced and not concerened part of the total number of beds. Also, we had no tv for 4 days of our trip. I know I didnt' go on vacation to watch tv, but I like to watch tv before bed, and of course the kids liked to watch it when they got up in the morning. This was becaue the owner did not upgrade his cable box in the time frame that cable company gave him, so this was disapointing to not have television at all. But like i said, i would stay again and I am sure the cable thing will get fixed, and I would just not count the bed as a bed. Robert was very helpful before and during our trip, and was easy to work with. There were just a few minor things, but I would definately rent again. Siesta Key is a beautiful beach and the location of the house is perfect!!

Owner's Response: We were so happy to have this group here. The Comcast Cable was out & we had to wait 4 days to get them in to repair broken cable in ground.
We realized the convertible sofa was broken and are replacing it immediately & providing air mattresses going forward. They are much more comfortable. The new feature on siesta Key is FREE taxi services. They work on tips and use Pedicabs or golf carts. It gives visitors very reliable and cost effective means of getting to the 'Village' and sightseeing around the key.
We are happy to continue offering the best value, cleanliness, and up to date furnishings for our guests.
