2 bedrooms, sleeps 4 (can be booked for parties of up to nine with the adjacent Gulls' Nest cottage). Internallly furnished with antiques and artefacts from the owners time in Asia combined with the charms of a traditional Brixham cottage. Allocated parking space on the harbour. Historic grade 2 building built in 1861. Pets allowed. Captain’s Quarters is a Brixham cottage of the highest standard, complete with a fascinating history combined with a warm welcome from the owners. The property was home the Captain Schjonnerman in the late 19th Century, who sailed the world trading raw materials before setting up a navigation school in Hill House, part of which is now Captain’s Quarters.

    Short breaks (min. 3 nights) are accepted at other times of the year unless otherwise stated.
    A non-refundable booking fee is applicable to all bookings.

Features a double bed, with built in wardrobes and 3 drawer chest, finished with a collection of antiques including porcelain teapots and Chinese monastery paintings on the wall.

Inside the property features antiques and artefacts from the Far East, including Chinese rugs, monastery paintings and temple carvings, along with hand made needlework. The living area can be found on the first floor, up a spiral staircase, with great views over the harbour, marina and out to sea. There are a pair of two seater love seats and an armchair, along with interesting and unusual antiques. A large bookcase holds numerous books for the use of guests. Entertainment provided by a T.V. full Sky digital package with movies, sport and children's channels as well as a DVD player, video recorder and videos.
