Great accommodation, wonderful location

A great central location for exploring the area (Brixham is well served with bus connections to larger towns including Paignton for trains, buses, etc.). The house is excellent; modern, clean and has everything you will need for a great rental. The house is even enough to keep bored kids occupied when the weather keeps you in, with DVD players in the living room and bedrooms and a small selection of disks.
The house is over three floors, with small balconies off each. The house faces the harbour so the balconies are a great place to watch the harbour, look out to see, or just people watch. It also makes a great location for photographers, with prime views. Modern amenities make this an ideal location for anyone; families, couples, friends.
There are two bedrooms, one on the ground floor (which isn't really ground floor from the front aspect as it is above a cafe), and one on the 3rd. There is also a sofa bed in the living room. The living room has seating for 4, plus a dining table for 4 and a decent well equiped kitchen (it even has a full oven). There's also a washing machine in a utility room, taking the pressure off your packing.
The wet room is great and the en suite bathroom off the lower bedroom is fine although the shower wasn't connected so it was either a hand-held shower or a bath.
There's good storage and plenty of pans, cutlery, crockery, etc. Only minor gripe was that there was no info about emptying bins so we had to use a combination of using carrier bags and dropping them in public litter bins and leaving a full bin (which didn't seem very good).
Brixham is a relatively quiet town but has many local and high street shops. There are two decent supermarkets within a couple of minutes walk and many of the major supermarkets can deliver (we did this and it worked beautifully). There seemed to be quite a few bars and pubs, though we didn't go in any. If you're looking for clubs, etc. then it might disappoint.
There are various beaches around the area, some nearer than others. The breakwater beach is great for a gentle evening walk. There are a number of coastal walks and various historical features to explore.
We were also fortunate to be there for the Brixham Heritage Week so were lucky to see fireworks, art displays, bands, etc.
All in all, a great week and we would certainly book this again.
