We are a family of four who travelled to Dallas from Italy for our summer vacation. We were very pleasantly surprised to find Ms Vega's house to be like a slice of Europe in the middle of Dallas. We loved the spaciously green backyard, complete with a deck and garden, we ate al fresco every evening and loved the charming atmosphere under the mature trees. The house has an old-world charm- complete with beautiful hardwood floors and an amazing cast-iron claw foot bathtub. We are looking forward to staying here again this summer upon our return.
We are an English family with two children (aged 4 and 6) visiting family in Dallas over the Christmas period. We were delighted with this house and the huge yard, or as we would say, garden. Laurie was very welcoming and had set-up a Christmas tree so we could feel festive. She also provided DVD's and puzzles for the kids, and was generally helpful in every way. The property was very clean and well maintained. I have already recommended this home to other family and friends visiting Texas. We liked the Dallas Arboretum, especially the children's garden, and the area around White Rock Lake. We also enjoyed the downtown area and Fort Worth stockyards.
I visited Dallas for a week to see my 13 month old son. Laurie was so great and made sure I had a high chair and a pack'n play ready for him. The house was very clean and made for a great stay. She even offered to go pick up a few things at the grocery store if needed. The house is in a very central location. I have already booked my next trip as it is more than worth it to have the comfort of a home instead of a hotel.
We stayed at this house for a week during the Texas State Fair, and it could not have been more perfect! The location was ideal: right next to the fairgrounds, within walking distance of Deep Ellum night life, and just a ten minute drive to the major sights in Downtown Dallas. The house was very charming and well maintained. The owner was fantastic, going out of her way to make sure our stay was pleasant and easy to navigate. I would stay here again if the occasion presented itself.
My husband and I needed to be near Baylor Hospital. This property/home was a true oasis for us. And just one mile from the hospital. Laurie was so gracious and helpful with information and a lovely furnished and well stocked home. All rooms are spacious and nicely decorated with an emphasis on comfort. The back yard is a lovely retreat full of mature trees and bushes.
We have made a reservation for a 2nd stay and look forward to again staying here. What a find!

This is the second time we have stayed at this home and it is wonderful. Charming home one quiet street in nice neighborhood close to downtown Dallas. The home has very nice furnishings and is well stocked with kitchen items. There is also a beautiful fenced backyard. Laurie keeps the home immaculate and is a pleasure to deal with.
