After 25 years as a corporate executive, I have begun a new career as an innkeeper with my vacation rental in Austin. With my love of travel, and background in marketing and sales, it is the perfect fit. My husband Dennis and I have stayed in VRBOs for many years and so I have a good sense of what guests need and want for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

We absolutely love the live music scene in Austin, and the youthful, spontaneous nature of urban living. We are avid bikers and spend a lot of time exploring the bike trails and paths around town. Everything we do is within a few mile radius of our home, including our vacation rental. That means we can make sure everything is in top shape for our guests, and respond quickly should any problems arise.

Judy Walsh purchased this townhome in 2011

We moved here in 1982 and stayed for 17 years as we developed our careers and businesses, and started our family. In the late 90’s opportunity took us away for 10 years. In 2009, we chose to come back “home” to our favorite place to live, Austin, Texas., with its relaxed lifestyle, friendly hospitality, and edgy personality.

This is the perfect place to be in central Austin. Our vacation home is right on the west edge of the downtown core, just outside the historic Clarksville neighborhood. There is hike and bike trail access just around the corner, which is a fun way to explore around town. And if you want to go for a night on the town, the cab fare home is about $6.

The list of conveniences is endless, but we love it that Austin Java is right across the street, not only for coffee, but they also have great food for breakfast, lunch and casual dinner. A great selection of beers on tap is just 100 steps away at The Tavern. Plus, you can walk to Whole Foods, Waterloos Records where they sometimes have live music in the parking lot, Book People, and the Capitol.

SXSW

My brother, his wife, my husband, and I stayed at your house and thoroughly enjoyed it. Location was fantastic - walked to many of the SXSW events. Close to coffee and the best barbecue up the street- Ruby's. I would definitely stay here again. The bottle of wine was a nice touch. Thanks!

Loved this house!

Four of my girlfriends and I had a "college reunion" in Austin last weekend. The house was absolutely perfect! Super clean, great back porch (where we spent lots of hours drinking coffee and chatting!) Loved Austin Java and the Tavern, both right across the street, and we were able to walk to Whole Foods and check out the bars on 6th. Also went for a long run through Pease Park. Thank you Judy for an excellent weekend!

Great house - would stay here again

We stayed here (5 colleagues) during SXSW. It is within walking distance of the convention center and 6th street if you don't mind walking for 20-25 mins. We didn't, so we would have no problem staying here again next year.

The house is well maintained and clean. There is some noise from the nearby road, but nothing that keeps you awake at night. it isn't very well insulated, but I guess not many American houses are that.

It's great with a 7-11 and Austin Java nearby.

I can only recommend this house.

Great and convenient

This house was vastly preferable to a hotel for two couples in terms of price, walkable distance to sights and restaurants (especially Austin Java where we enjoyed daily breakfasts), and amenities such as kitchen and deck.

Great apartment and location

The apartment was perfect in meeting the needs for our recent visit to Austin. Everything was exactly as described on the web site. Location was great-an easy walk to Whole Foods and a reasonable walk to rent bikes at Mellow Johnny's. If we ever return to Austin, I would love to stay here again,
