'Cape Dorado' is a beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home located on the canals in SW Cape Coral, Florida. Being just steps from the prestigious Cape Harbour Marina puts this home in a prime location. The quiet, upscale neighborhood is perfect for a family get-away. Restaurants, boutiques, gelato shops, and much more are just a short walk from our home!
Relax by the heated pool and spa while enjoying spectacular views of the canals. This home is within boating distance of Sanibel and Captiva Islands, Pine Islands, and many more sought after destinations! The conveniences the location of this home has to offer is endless!
After raising our children in Minnesota we decided to pick up and leave the cold behind. In 2005 we relocated to Cape Coral, FL. We fell in love with the area and after a few years decided to buy another home on our street to use for visiting guests and a vacation rental. After that went so well we continued purchasing homes to use for vacationers and now own two homes and a condo at Cape Harbour Marina all available for rentals. We are often home just down the street and available to help with any emergencies that might arise. If we are unavailable we have a great handyman and cleaning service to help out in a pinch!

My husband and I enjoyed three sun-filled weeks in this beautiful and spotless Cape Coral home - the pictures really do not do it justice as it is far lovelier upon entrance. Off the foyer the living room and family room, each with couch and love seats, are well furnished and comfortable with cable in the family room on a large flat screen television. The dining room which opens to the Lanai seats six comfortably and there is a high top table for four between the kitchen and the family room. The quality of all of the furnishings was sturdy and well made (Cindy Crawford Home and Panama Jack) - furnished as a real home rather than a rental afterthought. The kitchen was very spacious with expansive countertops and enough room for multiple cooks and featured a very large walk-in pantry. All of the appliances were high end and worked perfectly (actually it was the quietest dishwasher I've ever used)! The ice and cold water from the freezer door were filtered and clean tasting.The cooking equipment was also of very good quality and we enjoyed preparing some home-cooked meals. The two guest bedrooms were equally well appointed with queen beds, nice linens and walk in closets. The guest bath also opened to the lanai making it a very handy pool bath. The master bedroom had an extremely comfortable king bed (loved the mattress!!) another flat screen tv and a large master bath with double sinks, loads of drawers and counter space, tub and large separate shower. There was also a nice size walk-in closet. The garage (with auto garage door opener) was a great convenience on move in day and came with (surprise!) two shiny new bicycles!!! There was a large laundry room with very modern washer/dryer, iron and ironing board and cleaning supplies. NOTE: We have rented many times from HomeAway and it is rare and very much appreciated to find any cleaning supplies included - Cape Dorado came equipped with laundry detergent, dish detergent, dish washer liquid and tabs, soft soap at every sink, multiple rolls of paper towels and bath tissue and supplies to keep everything clean! Thank you!! Sooo smart!! Now for the best part - the screen enclosed Lanai with both hot tub (loved it!) and large pool kept at a very comfortable 80 degrees - which we swam in everyday! Behind the Lanai on the canal was a boat dock where dolphin appeared most every morning and evening catching their own meals - they swam right up to us - thrilling and memorable!!
This very lovely home offered everything we needed for a comfortable and fun stay in beautiful Cape Coral. Having never been to the area we were happily surprised with the area this home is located in. Across the street is an easy walk to a cute coffee shop. There are other locally owned shops in the same plaza all offering a friendly welcome. We even took a glass painting class at the coffee shop one morning. Highly recommended! (No artistic skill required!)
As for the home itself you couldn't ask for a better layout. As you enter the home there is a large living room on the right. Straight ahead leads you into the kitchen/family room area. There is also a very nice dining area should you choose a more formal evening. However, with the large lanai/pool area you'll probably do as we did and dine outside most of the time. The pool was perfectly kept and one family member actually worked every day from the pool-tech jobs can be so fun!
The owners are very attentive and should you encounter any issues at all they are very quick to respond. There is a pool maintenance company that manages the pool and the hot tub and keeps both beautiful.
The outdoor landscaping is also kept up and everywhere you look in this neighborhood you'll enjoy a pretty view.
There were plenty of towels, even pool towels. The owners also include 2 bikes for your use. They have done an excellent job of creating a home away from home.
You'll also appreciate having a Publix Grocery store at the end of the street on one corner and Walgreens on the other corner.
The Cape Coral area truly offers something for everyone. If you are a boater you'll also enjoy the boat launch at this property. If you'd rather let someone else do the driving there's a great tour that leaves right from the marina at the end of the street.
After spending 2 weeks at this lovely home we discovered that this is truly the best location in Cape Coral. You have a quiet neighborhood-well except for Tuesday nights when there's a car show at the marina-but if you love classic cars you will also enjoy seeing all of these fun cars!
The hosts are truly wonderful and we had a great stay. We loved it so much we already booked one of their other houses for 2017!
We were able to rent a boat for two days and keep it on the lift. It worked out great. Short ride to intercoastal and nice riding through the canals looking at homes. The pool area is huge and the hot tub was nice on the cool nights.
I like having tile throughout because it keeps the house cleaner. The house has been updated nicely and had a perfect floorplan with two living areas, great for kids in one and adults in another.
The bedrooms are all well furnished and nice. We also used the bikes multiple times. A bike tire pump would be nice to have in the garage though...
The location was great and within walking distance to stores, and restaurants, but still in a quiet area.
Will definitely return here if it is available.
The house was beautiful inside. Comfortable beds. It was so nice to be able to bring our dog. We also brought our pontoon boat. It didn't fit on the lift so we had to just tie it to the dock. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you. The Wable Family.
This winter-weary Ohio family of 4 couldn't have had a better week. The house & amentities were great, especially the pool & hot tub. Cape Harbor is a 3 minute walk to some outstanding shopping & dining. And, it was a real thrill to watch the dolphins hunting down their dinner in the canal which is right in the back yard. A manatee swam right under our feet as we were enjoying the show. We hope to return again...working with Crystal...the property manager & owner's daughter...was easy as well. The area is so beautiful and peaceful,enjoyed our morning walks and coffee in the pool area. Town is beautiful and so many wonderful places to eat.
The home is spacious and was clean. We rented bikes ASAP and enjoyed the
area on our bikes. Convenient to Publix and Walgreens. The lanai is large and the landscaping is mature and lovely.
