Beautiful house, very remote!

The house was absolutely beautiful and fit the description provided. We had plenty of room for our family and more. However, the drive to this house is frightening. It includes very steep, unpaved, one lane roads and at one point we were worried that we would not be able to make it up the hill. In fact, we ended up renting a hotel for one evening that we were out late in Asheville because we did not want to travel those roads at night. If you are staying in for a holiday and not making a lot of trips out, this is the perfect spot!

We found coming from the flat landscape of Florida and then driving the narrow, curvy, country roads of North Carolina to be a little nerve wracking for us when we first bought our home. After driving the roads a few times, we learned how to navigate them like one of the locals.
In our description of the house, we’ve portrayed it as rural and we’ve tried to accurately depict the roadways in our travel directions.
Regardless, we are sorry you found the roads tricky to negotiate.
