PRISTINE AND SPECTACULAR WATERFRONT HOUSE – PERFECT VIEWS AND LOCATION.

This is a beautiful home in a great location for exploring the Rockland/Camden area. Fletcher gave her approval for our 2 dogs and we were excited to visit Spruce Head Island. We were more than disappointed when we arrived after travelling 10 hours by car. The owners had a book on the table stating that dogs had to be gated in the "foyer"(mudroom) of the home for the duration of renters stay. We chose not to call Fletcher, and instead, made the best of it by taking our dogs with us at all times. Even though the pet policy on the rental agreement states that dogs are not to be on the furniture and crated if left alone in the home, we had no idea that meant keeping them in the mudroom all week.

Once we returned home, I contacted Fletcher with my concerns and she did agree to refund part of our pet fee.

That being said, this is a beautiful home in a spectacular location. It's just across the bridge on Spruce Head Island and there are views of the cove on one side, and island views on the other. We spent almost every afternoon on the deck (with our dogs) watching the water slowly drain away, while gulls, ducks and a bald eagle cracked mussels on the boulders below.

There was a lobster pound within walking distance across the bridge that even cooked our lobsters for us.

This could have easily been a food vacation as there are lots of fabulous eateries nearby and it was an easy tour of all the local lighthouses as well.

The house is within close proximity to Camden, Rockland, Owls Head and Thomaston...all within an easy drive.

We enjoyed the home and furnishings - the views each day were amazing. Fletcher was more than accommodating with all of my pre-trip questions. In hindsight, we probably should have called her upon our arrival to clear up the pet policy. I would highly recommend this home - just clarify the pet policy before signing the rental agreement.
