Recently stepping down from being general manager of a boutique hotel on Deerfield Beach for the past 17 years, I'm now giving my time to mentoring students at Florida Atlantic University in Boca.
I've loved the hospitality industry and really enjoy welcoming new friends from all over the world since I've traveled quite a bit--over 40 nations and all of the U.S. Places became special when I was able to get to know 'locals'. My hope is that I can extend that personal hospitality to people who stay in our home and make some new friends!
Deborah purchased this house in 1972
Why Deborah chose Boca Raton
Our family began coming to Florida in 1951 from Cleveland where my father was a builder. When my parents were finally able to move here, my dad often said he felt he had died and gone to heaven.
When they purchased this property in 1972, it was and remains one of the most prime locations in Boca Raton. It's only several blocks from the prestigious Boca Raton Hotel--destination of the rich and famous for decades and in such an exclusive, beachside neighborhood!
What makes this house unique
We have the best neighbors and even a neighborhood picnic yearly! Our home is located on an island that makes it so quaint, private and safe, even though it's just steps from the beach. We love the French style windows that we leave open most of the year to enjoy the fresh ocean breeze or, in the summer, we use our central AC and a dip in the refreshing pool. We pretty much live outside on the porch with a dining table, barbecue, lounges with comfortable pads (for an afternoon nap) and quaint wicker furniture. My dad caught the large sailfish that's mounted on the wall. We have so many wonderful memories of our 30+ years of living in this home. We'd love to share it with your family to make your own!
