The farmhouse has a large kitchen / living room, with exposed oak beamed ceiling. Kitchen area fitted with oak fronted units, gas hob, electric oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, kettle and toaster , table to seat 6, tiled floor; the living area with inglenook fireplace, oak floor, satelitte TV, radio and comfortable seating. Bathroom downstairs with toilet, basin and shower. Dining room to seat 6 with oak floor, beamed ceiling and dark oak furniture. One double bedroom downstairs and staircase to first floor double bedroom, twin bedded room, single bedroom and bathroom with toilet and shower, all with exposed oak beamed ceilings. Travel cot available.
Outdoor facilities:
The swimming pool, 10 x 5 metres (1m at shallow end sloping to 2m at the deep end), patio, lawn and gazebo, to the rear of the house, is secure within a large fenced and hedged area, chairs, loungers and table provided. The pool has a security cover for the safety of our guests.
Another patio surrounded by bushes and vine covered, at the side of the house, also with garden furniture. There is a barbeque, volleyball/badminton/tennis net and outdoor table tennis available for your use. The lawns between the house and pool area are planted with bushes and fruit trees and the front and side of the farmhouse is lawned with ample space for football etc. The grounds are surrounded and sheltered by unspoilt countryside creating a haven of tranquility.
Local attractions:
Segur-le-Chateau is a medieval town of outstanding beauty and historical interest. There are charming restaurants and a cafe which offer the facility of eating in or out on the green under the plane trees on the edge of the River Auvezere.
Lubersac, Arnac Pompadour and St. Yrieix are market towns, on the route of 'Richard the Lionheart', all within 15 minutes drive with market days, shops, supermarkets with intimate bars and restaurants. Limoges, Perigueux and Brive, large towns full of historical interest, restaurants, shops, bars and golf courses all within one hours drive. The National Anglo-Arab Stud, immaculate racecourse with racing, dressage, show jumping and cross-country and many other equine based events held at Arnac Pompadour every weekend, during July, August and September. A must to visit is Rocamadour, Collonges la Rouge, Roc St Christophe, Hautefort Chateau, the famous Lascoux caves and the Dordogne river valley with its many diverse attractions.
