Located in Leeward Sands with the birding center and community pool/park nearby, this home is ideal for families. This house has a huge deck to enjoy the constant breezes on this part of the island. Located in town and very close to the community pool/park and birding center, this is a favorite with the kids! High ceilings in main living area and kitchen, comfortable furnishings, fenced yard and boat parking make this a great place to vacation.

CLOSE TO POOL AND BIRDING: Located off the Cut Off Road, this home is within easy reach of the community pool and City park. The pool is heated during the cooler months and offers plenty of space for both little ones and adults alike. There is a playground, jogging path and plenty of green space to enjoy yourselves.

Restaurants are just a short hop away and if you enjoy premier bird watching you can walk a block to the Birding Center and see the abundant wildlife from the walkway or observation tower.

IN TOWN ACTIVITIES: Rent a golf cart or grab your bicycles and head on down to town which is a few short blocks away. There you will find plenty of souvenir shops, shell shops, groceries, restaurants, jewelry shops, surf shops and pretty much anything beach related you might need. Port Aransas has a library and a museum too which are great places to visit while in town.

FISHING: If you enjoy fishing you've come to the right place. The Ship's Wheel has great boat parking and is not far from the City Marina where you can launch your craft, there are many deep sea and bay fishing charter companies located on Cotter Street and at the marina. Located throughout town are several piers and jetties. Local fisherman will sell you their daily catch at the city marina. Head down early! There are several seafood markets in town too that have fresh fish, shrimp and oysters.

Port Aransas is a unique destination point. Located on the very tip of Mustang Island at the mouth of the Corpus Christi ship channel, this Gulf Coast place is filled with things to see and do. If you are into nature, bird watching is plentiful, nature trails, guided beach walks, shell collecting and beachcombing are all available. You can drive on the beach,park, grab your suntan lotion and beach chairs and high tail it for the surf. The water here is normally a beautiful blue-green and swimming, surfing, boogie boarding and surf fishing are all a blast.

Deep sea fishing charters as well as bay charters are available for those enjoy casting a line. Roberts Point Park is a great place to view the ferries, big ships and dolphins as they all vie for your attention. Lots of folks drive golf carts, bicycles or just plain take a stroll.

About 40 minutes to the USS Lexington museum in Corpus Christi and the Texas State Aquarium if you want a full day outing.

You must be 25 years of age or older to rent this property. Pets will be considered on a case by case basis for longer term rentals only. There are some outdoor chairs and a table in the bedroom closet. these are not to be removed from the property and taken to the beach or pool. The double driveway is long and there is plenty of room for boat parking. Covered deck is large and has room for family and friends. Starter pack of paper towels and toilet tissue in the property along with guest soaps, dishwasher pellets, liquid dish soap, a clean sponge and trash bags. An information sheet is in the property which details the amenities and trash pickup, laundry facilities, wi fi if available etc. City pool a block away. We took our blended family of 9 to Port Aransas and just wanted to let you know we loved the house - great location! The property is very well maintained. Almost everything you need to stay comfortably was already there - sheets, towels, toaster, cookware & a nice clean refrigerator that made lots of ice! There was detergent to wash clothes with as well. Great location - within 5 minutes of most of the places we went. Corpus Christi was only 45 minutes away!
Suggestions.......provide an iron & ironing board. Also, In the description, it mentioned the living room sofa pulls out to sleep two - that wasn't true. The guest bedroom faces the east and was pretty bright in the mornings. TV's were not compatible with Playstation 3 :( , so we were unable to play family games on the TV

Overall, EXCELLENT value for the price! Would definitely stay here again =)

We rented this place and had a wonderful time there. Beautiful house, comfortable spot with plenty of room. Quiet, yet not far away from anything. I'd stay here again.
