Steps to the finest beach in Maine (Grand/Pine Point Section). Walk or bike south on the beach to Palace Playland Amusement Park and Arcade, Pirates Cove mini golf, or the Old Orchard Beach Pier. Go north and look for seals or fish at the Scarborough River jetti. Everything is close by, but our section of the beach is quiet and away from the motels. Hop in your car and a drive-in theater, 2 excellent water parks, and beautiful golf courses are within 3-5 miles. There are many restaurants, including ones in walking distance from the house, such as The ClamBake on the Scarborough River/Marsh. If you like scenic coastal tours, I can recommend routes that will take you by beautiful rocky vistas (bring your cameras) South of our house is Biddeford Pool (Wood Island Light) and North is Two Lights State Park and the Portland Headlight (the most photographed/painted lighthouse in the world) both in Cape Elizabeth. Or, just lie down on the softest white powder beach you've ever seen
