Mendocino House Rental Photos and Description
House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)
Gull Cottage is serene and welcoming. Step out of the living room onto a large deck with a hot tub and a sweeping view across the one-acre property to the ocean beyond the trees. The living room is bright and comfortable, with books and large screen HDTV. Dine on the deck or in the large,newly-remodeled eat-in kitchen with its additional gathering space. In the evenings, stand on the deck or the balcony or just at an open window, and listen for the sounds of the ocean and the cries of the sea lions. Choose the first floor bedroom with its twin beds, or a second floor bedroom with a king-size bed and a great view toward the water. The third bedroom, upstairs as well, is twin-bedded and shares the clean, crisp comfort that makes Gull Cottage a joy to stay at.
Take a short walk to Caspar beach or to our quiet neighborhood's access to the dunes and ocean cliffs. Or drive to the Village, just a few minutes away. The South Caspar neighborhood is in the heart of Mendocino's beauty.

We had a fabulous time at Gull Cottage. The hot tub was awesome and we enjoyed it almost evry night. Your house is lovely and suited our needs perfectly. I particularly appreciated the nice appliances in the kitchen. We loved seeing the deer and the turkeys raom around the property. They seem very comfortable there. The location to both Mendocino and Fort Bragg was great, too. We definitely had the exact vacation get-away we had hoped for. Thank you for sharing your lovely home.
I am a retired pharmacist who now has a second career as a sportswriter. I served on the Oakland Athletics Medical Staff from 1993 to 1998 and made many contacts in baseball. I joined the staff of SportsRadioServive.com in 2010 and I cover A's Baseball, some Giants, Sharks hockey and Stanford football and men's basketball. I am still licensed to practice pharmacy but the sportswriting keeps me extremely busy.
I bought the house in the Mendocino area as it is a 3 hour drive from San Francisco. You drive through beautiful vineyards on the way and pass through a magnificent redwood forest. One cannot believe the beauty of nature. I am always amazed every time I make the trip to the coast.
Love the peace and quiet and the serenity of the area. The magnificent Northern California coast line and the ability to visit the state parks such as Russan Gulch,Jug Handle and MacKerricher. Whale watching season is a must. The closeness of the house to Mendocino Village and the City of Fort Bragg. Great restaurants and good shopping make your stay memorable. One of my favorite activities is to drive up to Ten Mile beach and go for a long walk along the beach.
