YEAR-ROUND CABIN, WOODED RIVERFRONT ON LILY RIVER, WIFI, ATV TRAILS

Crandon Cabin Rental Photos and Description

4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, sleeps 16 comfortably with beds in loft.

Indoor gas fireplace, 2 satellite televisions, telephone, microwave, fully equipped kitchen, board games, gas grill, washer and dryer, dock at river, two fire pits, firewood, cedar lawn and deck furniture. High speed wireless internet.

Private maintained road access to ATV and snowmobile trails. Swimming, golfing, fishing, canoeing, kayaking and hunting. Nearby Wolf River rafting, Ed's Lake and Hemlock cross country ski trails, Mole Lake Casino and Potawatomi Casino.

2800 sq. ft of gravel parking area for RV's and trailers in addition to the long, wide drive for easy turn-around. Ideal for ATVers and snowmobilers.

Winter up north.: Young children enjoy sledding on small hill on the property. Watch them from the porch.

Access the Wolf River Snowmobile Trail 1/2 mile on private road or the Lumberjack Memorial Snowmobile Trail 1 mile on Woodlawn Road. These connect to the Tombstone Pickerel trails to the south, and the 100 Mile Snow Safari to the north. Find current trail conditions and webcam at tombstonepickerel.com.

The private road, driveway and parking area are plowed throughout the snow season.

Enjoy cross country skiing at nearby Ed's Lake or Hemlock Lake. The trails have a nice variety of hills through the forest.

Take a young family downhill skiing at Kettlebowl, in Bryant, a 30 minute drive. This is a low cost family oriented ski hill. An hour's drive will get you to Ski Brule, in Brule, Michigan.

Enjoy the water.: Canoe or kayak a short distance from property to Lily Lake (early spring/summer). Paddle the lake or continue on the Lily River outlet to newly opened Frog Alley Inn and Campground (45 minute paddle there). This is a very quiet trip.

Trailer an available 12 foot row boat (with motor) to any number of nearby lakes: Jungle Lake, Lake Pickerel, Bog Brook flowage, Robert's Lake, or to the Lily Lake Landing.

Those looking for a sandy bottom may enjoy Lake Metonga or Crystal Lake. These lakes are a 15 - 20 minute drive away.

Excerpts from our guest book.: 'What a wonderful place! Every morning waking up to the calls of the loons on the lake, the stream running, and the birds chirping!'

'The cabin is lovely! From the moment we walked in the door, we knew we were going to have a good time, and we did. Kayaking and swimming were a blast. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. It was nice that everything was fully stocked and very clean

'All the comforts of home. Plenty of room for everyone, inside and out. Great place for tween and teenaged kids. They loved exploring, finding lots of frogs at the river. We all enjoyed kayaking and canoeing. The swing by the river was a big hit for the kids. The hammock by the house was enjoyed by everyone of all ages.'

'Your cabin far exceeded our expectations'

Nicely equipped and secluded

  • 5 of 5
We had a group of 9 in this clean spacious cabin. We were very pleased with the way the house was laid out and the amenities. From little things like lots of towels and linens and lots of hooks to hang towels and gear, to the kayaks and canoes that are included. Kitchen was well equipped and the 2 refrigerators worked well for food and drinks. We appreciated the quality dry firewood provided (honor system payments). It is nice paddle down the river to the lake (and the eagle's nest). We caught a bucket full of crawfish for dinner in the river by hand and they were the best we had ever had (including 'Nawlins). Lots of wildlife to see including river otters, herons, kingfisher, loons and more. If you are into biking the roads and trails are perfect for hybrids or mountain bikes. The property is on a peninsula / bend in the river and you cannot see the neighbors. Definitely recommended.

Winter get away

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I along with our 3 children had a fantastic week long stay here. It is fabulous and the owners are super easy to work with! We were cabin bound in -50 degree weather and had plenty of space to keep us all entertained:) Tons of beds, 3 separate living spaces and nice size kitchen and a fantastic setting make this a vacation spot that we hope to return to. The acreage is amazing...beautiful setting. They really do have the perfect location for up north get away!

a fun and relaxing week

  • 5 of 5
the cabin was beautiful, spacious, and very comfortable. also, the owners had it well-stocked - no need to take any towels, sheets, or pots and pans or dishes. used the kayaks they provide nearly every day, and lots of nearby roads and trails for walking. although the cabin is not right on the lake, it is on the river and it is an enjoyable 15-minute paddle to the lake. finally, the owners were nice, friendly people and very easy to deal with.

BEST RENTAL EVER!!!

  • 5 of 5
The description and pictures are exactly what will welcome you. Everything was very well stocked, and clean. We were provided with great instructions for opening & closing the cabin. The directions were very accuarte. We're hoping to make this an annual event. We came up to snowmobile, trail access was great, and easy to get to. To be honest.... I really didn't want to write a review, we'd rather keep this place all to ourselves. But in all seriousness I would recommend this cabin to anybody. The owners were very helpful, and great to work with.
Thanks for a GREAT WEEKEND!!

Perfect Family Getaway

  • 5 of 5
We normally spend our family vacations in water parks, but we found this place on line and thought it would be nice to try something different. I'm so glad we did! As other reviewers have written, the cabin is comfortable, spacious and well-stocked with everything you could possibly need. The surroundings are beautiful and wildlife is plentiful. A doe and two fawns came into the yard every morning and evening to graze and the kids had a blast searching for crayfish in the river. We made use of the canoes and kayaks, and during one expedition a deer crossed the river right in front of us! The kids had so much fun playing outdoors that they never asked to play on the computer..and that pretty says it all, doesn't it??!!. We're all looking forward to staying again soon.

Awesome!

  • 5 of 5
My family and I just returned from a 4 day weekend at this beautiful cabin. To say it was wonderful would be an understatement. When we first arrived and walked through the house, taking in the craftsmanship and spaciousness of it, we were in awe.
With there being 3 floors with large rooms, there was plenty of space to enjoy adult conversation away from the little ones play area. Our family consists of 9 adults and 3 children. The kitchen had everything imaginable necessary to cook a meal for a large group and with no worry of getting in each others way.
The river is just a short walk from the house. We spent time every day paddling down the river that leads to the lake, in the kayaks and canoes the owners provided.
Every night we sat around the campfire, sometimes just listening to the peaceful silence. It is very secluded, away from any kind of traffic and not another house in site.
I would recommend this wonderful home to anyone looking for a relaxing, quiet and secluded vacation.
Our only complaint is that we only had 4 days to spend and we all decided that when we can come again it will definitely be for at least a week.
