Barcelona Vacation Rental apartment

When you approach the property, it doesn't look spectacular, but it's what is inside that counts and it really counts!
Our party of 4 arrived a little late due to the train from the airport being a little slow. The man that met us was very nice and had waited some time for us but still greeted us with a smile and a happy "hello" and showed us everything we needed to know about the apartment.

The description of the property was spot on and we felt at home straight away. As we arrived late, we went out to get a takeaway pizza close by and found the area of "Raval" to be buzzing and busy with plenty of cafe's and restaurants in the vicinity.

The property itself was unique in it's layout which was a good thing. The rooftop terrace was a real bonus and we ate breakfast there most days as well as an evening meal when we turned on the various lights which gave us our own private setting away from the hustle and bustle of the Ramblas which is a 5 minute walk away.
Sky tv is provided and allows you a quick peek at what's happening back home as well as making sure you don't miss any of your favourite programmes if you can't bare to miss them.
The "Raval" itself is a compact area with a melting pot of races all happily going about business and welcoming guests into their shops and restaurants. Look out for the Giant black cat on the Rambla Raval!

The property is ideally situated for exploring Barcelona and allows peace and quiet at the same time. We found the property to be clean and well maintained throughout with just about anything you could want. A lift takes you to the apartment on the 3rd floor.

The "Boqueria" market is near the property - 5minutes and we bought a lot of fresh produce from there.
Restaurants are plentiful and range from cheap and cheerful to fancy and expensive. Our favourite was "Taller Tapas" of which there are a couple that we know of.

In future visits to Barcelona, we shall be making this property our number 1 call as it was just what we were looking for.
I have even recomended it to friends and family such was our liking for it.

Downsides? Perhaps a rail around the door of the rooftop terrace door would make it safer for families with young children. If over 55's are reasonably fit they can manage the small flight of stairs to the rooftop no problem. 2 of our party were in their mid 60's and managed without any bother.

All told a big thumbs up for the property.
