Walk up the white stone staircase past huge succulents, through the impressive front door and be greeted by a massive antique metal-framed cigarette poster that gives you a taste of the scale of the interior.
The large lounge area is furnished with other carefully selected over-sized features. A wooden longboard hangs on the wall over a sleek sprawling L shaped couch.
With elegant large floor lamp in one corner providing soft light alternative to the downlighting, and a large 53' TV with Foxtel and DVD player, the space looks over the surf of tiny MacKenzies Beach.
The marble floored lower level extends back to the formal dining space, with a beautiful kauri table and room for 8 dinner guests. Further back is the kitchen with an marble topped island workspace that is perfect for breakfast on the go. Including a Miele gas oven, and well stocked with kitchen needs, this area is an ideal open area for casual dining, entertaining or lounging on the exquisite black leather couch, watching another TV with Foxtel. By opening the huge folding doors this area opens up to a leafy and well kept courtyard with outdoor dining and superb BBQ. The trees provide excellent shade all day.
Back inside an almost floating marble staircase takes you down to an office space, next to a huge cellar and storage room.
The office provides space for two workstations. (Has been used by film editors and as a production office). Upstairs takes you to the 2nd floor's massive carpeted bedroom level.
The master bedroom looks south over spectacular views of Tamarama and Bronte Beaches with views of Clovelly headland and out to the Pacific.
Heavy silk curtains that are fully automated cut out all the ample morning light. A walk in wardrobe and terracotta bathroom with bath, shower and toilet make the bedroom a private oasis.
Walking to the rear of the house you pass another bedroom, with two single beds massive built in wardrobe then a second bathroom with shower and toilet, and then another huge bedroom with built in wardrobes. The high ceiling and huge bi-folding doors, that open up to a large balcony, provide it a stunning aspect over the trees of the back courtyard, and views further north over Bondi beach.
The house has a modern designer feel with original artworks from artists from California, New Zealand, and Sydney, Polish Film Posters and a series of photographic framed prints from Iceland. The location is what makes the house so appealing.
Situated along the famous Bondi walkway you have the choice of a southward stroll (or jog) to Tamarama, Bronte, Clovelli, Gordon's Bay and Coogee Beaches, or north around Marks Park (site of October's Sculptures By The Sea) past Bondi Icebergs complex with its incredible ocean pool, cafe, restaurants and cocktail bar, to Bondi Beach, which hardly needs an introduction. The house is air conditioned throughout, yet opens up perfectly to take advantage of the summer sea breezes.
Access is either through the secure front gate, shared with the neighbour or through the double garage that has a secure door that takes you past the office. The house has alarmed security systems, including video intercom, high tech Dynalite lighting and adjustable heating for each space from a central computer console. All easy to use.
