Apartment, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath (Sleeps 2-4)

This apartment was fully renovated and restored in 2004 with walls of Venetian stucco, plank floors and Italian tiles. It is light and comfortable with views to both North and South into old copplestone courtyards. It has a kitchen with stove, refrigerator, microwave oven, freezer and dishwasher. The bathroom has a shower, washer and dryer. The bedroom has a queen size bed plus a large storage closet. In the living room there is a couch that folds out as sleeping space for additional two persons, if needed.

The apartment is in a 250 year old house in Nyhavn, withdrawn to the courtyards in the back of the front row. The canal of Nyhavn was created in early 1700th century so that traders could sail their cargo ships right up to the front row of warehouses. Now it is the restaurant and cafe haven of Copenhagen where people stroll all day.

The square of Kongens Nytorv next to Nyhavn is the Center of Old Copenhagen. Here you have the Royal Theatre, Magasin du Nord and it is where the shopping street Stroeget starts. On Stroeget you will find Georg Jensen, Royal Copenhagen and Illum plus Ecco's store. The square also has a Metro (subway) station which can take you to most places in Copenhagen and directly into Copenhagen Airport.

If you change from the Metro to the suburban trains, you can ride to Helsingor and visit Kronborg (Hamlet's Castle) or to Hillerod and visit Frederiksborg Castle built in the early seventeenth hundreds.

The apartment is amazing. It is in a perfect spot to explore Copenhagen's most desired attractions. You can walk virtually everywhere you want to go and if you decide to take day trips, you are very close to the train station. I highly recommend.

Just Like Home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this very lovely apartment. It is exactly as pictured. You can tell that the owner, Peter, takes much pride in its upkeep. The location couldn't have been better.

Our arrival into CPH was quite late. Not only did Simon welcome us with a smile, he had even offerened beforehand to help pick up some food for breakfast the next morning. Luckily we took him up on his kind offer and were able to enjoy a slow morning the next day after a long day of travel.

The only thing to keep in mind is that the apartment is about four flights of stairs up. It was fine for us, but for families with strollers and such, it might not be very convenient.

If we find ourselves back in Copenhagen again, we would most certainly look to stay here again.
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Wonderful Stay on Nyhavn Canal

My wife and I had a lovely stay here with our infant son. The apartment is quiet, very well maintained, and close to everything. We could walk almost anywhere in the city in less than 15 minutes. The host is very pleasant to work with. If we find ourselves back in Copenhagen, we wouldn't think of staying anywhere else!

Beautiful apartment in a great part of town

My family stayed at the apartment for 5 nights in August and it was very pleasant. While the apartment is very close to an active part of town, it faces the interior courtyard and was relatively quiet during our stay. The apartment was well-furnished and everything was very well maintained and clean and the customer service was great- the owner was very responsive and his friend who let us into the apartment was helpful and timely. I would highly recommend this property to other travelers.

Perfect home away from home!

The apartment is the PERFECT location along the Nyhavn canal. The canal is lined with tons of cute restaurants and pubs which are just a 1 minute walk from the apartment. And although on one of the most populated/tourist areas...the apartment is set in a back courtyard and is quite at night - even on the weekend!

The description and pictures are spot-on and actually, in person, the apartment is a bit nicer than the pics! We were a party of 4. Two in the bedroom and two on the pullout in the living room. The pullout bed is a bit uncomfortable but we pulled the mattress onto the floor each night and it was ten times better!

The kitchen has all the amenities needed to enjoy meals in including a table for 5 and the bathroom is large, updated and clean. The TV and CD player works great and if you look closely you can find the original 90210 soundtrack that was a hit during our trip.

The city is beautiful and it was great to be able to walk to any and all attractions - both local secrets as well as tourist.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and hope to be back someday soon!!
