The Peaceful Point House has been fully remodeled top-to-bottom. The location is mid-way down the “Point” in Colonial Beach – within a block of the Potomac River and three blocks from the north beach.

The 2300 square foot vacation house has a large kitchen, 4 bedrooms with 2 queen and 2 full beds, 2 full bath, hot tub, screened porch, and a master bedroom deck. The downstairs bedroom can also serve as a master bedroom for couples or small family. Large corner lot has off street parking and back yard access for additional vehicles or boat. Backyard is fenced to accommodate small/medium sized dogs.

Colonial Beach is located on the Potomac River between Washington DC and Richmond VA (a little over an hour drive either direction) and 20 minutes to NSWC Dahlgren. The “golf cart” town has antique shops, restaurants, parks, festivals, boat ramp and nearby historic sites. This is a very quite neighborhood with very little vehicular traffic.

This house is perfect for an extended family or small group. The house is large and there is plenty of privacy. They were two televisions, so that helped keep the peace and they were adding a third television to the home as were leaving, which is great. The clean wooden floors and the wide open floor plan helps ease the flow of movement. It's perfect for someone with a wheelchair or a walker, so consider that. The kitchen is a cheerful room -- sunny and spacious (for multiple cooks?) and there are two separate dining tables, one of them being quite long & large. Perhaps one for the kids and one for the adults? The bathrooms are spotless and the one upstairs is equipped with a large jacuzzi! The house is very near to the river, a sandy beach and just a few blocks from several restaurants, a bar and the Riverfront gambling place on the water. This rental is very good value for the money and we would stay here again.

Charming house in a very good location close to the beach/coast of the Potomac River. Well appointed with all facilities and very spacious. Reasonably priced but as it was a fairly new rental there needed to be more instruction about where shopping area was and also some games etc would have been handy. Owners were very helpful and the payments etc were straight forward, especially as we were planning our first trip to the USA. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge. Fantastic shower off the master bedroom. Colonial Beach must be buzzing in the summer but very quiet when we visited and the weather was not beach weather however excellent restaurants in the town. Very central for visiting Frederiksburg and even Washington, only 50 miles up the Interstate 95.
