I love the outdoors especially my time on Dauphin Island with my husband Phil. We have spent many incredible hours walking & talking on the beach, watching sunsets, relaxing on the porch with good friends, seeing the night stars away from the lights of the city.
We bought our beach house in 2000 for ourselves and our two labrador retrievers because Dauphin Island has dog friendly beaches. It reminded Dot of what beaches were like 30 years ago in South Carolina, family friendly, uncluttered and fun.
Our house is on West Beach which is all single family homes with no condos. It is walking distance to the beach (you don't have to cross the road to get there). You can hear the waves crashing, the sea gulls and buoy sounds and the dogs love it as much as we do!
