There are 2 comfortable and stylishly well equipped self-catering gites, recently renovated, each sleeping 2, with King sized beds, situated in the grounds of a charming Charentaise Farmhouse parts of which are believed to date back to the 1750's.In addition B&B available in the main house.
Each gite is equipped with French television, CD,radio and DVD player. Wi-Fi is also included free of charge.
Both gites have their own sunny garden,offering a high degree of privacy with garden furniture and barbecue making it an ideal location for enjoying the warm sunny days and evenings.The salt water swimming pool is for guests use and shared with the owners.
The gites each have their own off road secure car park and are situated well away from each other.

The Charente-Maritime is famous for its seafood. 50% of France's national consumption of Oysters is farmed in the region. Cognac, Pineau de Charente, Charentaise Butter, Melons(in season), and many cheeses are among the regions specialities.
The beautiful Charente river, some 4 km away, winds its way from beyond Angouleme through Cognac, Saintes and St Savinien and out to sea via Rochefort.The river was the main route, in days gone by, that Cognac was exported to the rest of the world.Now it provides wild life in abundance, fishing and boating with boats for hire at St Savinien and Port d'Envaux.

Built on the site of a Roman villa, this was a major stopover on the road to Santiago de Compostela. The town lies on the banks of the River Butonne.An attractive town and well worth a visit
Rochefort.
Visit the Corderie Royal ( Rope Factory) and the Hermoine boatyard where they are building a replica of the vessel that once sailed between Boston and Rochefort in 1780.
Further afield.
Bordeaux 90 minutes drive offers a full day out sightseeing. Leave the car on the outskirts and use the excellent tram system for cheap travel to and from the city.
Wine lovers will find the vineyards, the Medoc and visits to the wine producers within easy reach.
Nantes,Poitiers,St-Emilion and Angouleme can all be reached in 2 hours.
