Just a quarter mile off the famed Cabot Trail, our home offers a superb view of the western coast of Cape Breton between Margaree Harbour and Cheticamp. From our balcony deck look north past Acadian French fishing villages to the mountains of Cape Breton Highlands National Park, a paradise for hikers, photographers, and outdoor adventurers.

Our Western coast offers Canada's warmest sea waters. Margaree Harbour Beach is a ten minute walk which takes you through our local village with its general store, church, and post office. Whale Cove Beach is just over 2 miles away, the often secluded Chimney Corner beach is about 5 miles away and the Cheticamp Island Beach is about 12 miles away.

The Margaree River is famous for salmon fishing but you can also try it for trout. Enjoy fine dining, whale watching, visiting local craft shops or museums or listening to Cape Breton heritage music especially at the weekly concert-ceilidhs at the Barn at the Normaway Inn in Margaree Valley.

Open-Concept House: The House has 2 floors. The ground floor has a central hallway with direct access to its four rooms. The two bedrooms, each with a double bed, have a view of the coast. At the back of the floor is the spacious 4- piece bathroom on one side and our utilities room on the other. The utilities room has a set tub and a clothes washer and dryer.

Visitors are most impressed with the top floor, a fully open space (31 ft. X 23 ft.) with a plethora of windows which provide natural ventilation and great viewing. The dining and living areas occupy the front corners facing the coastline and the roomy and well equipped kitchen area is in the back. Patio Doors lead to the full width deck with a view to the sea.
