I am energetic, happy, caring and fun loving Austinite. I was born in Croatia and got to Texas as fast as I could!

Lucija purchased this estate in 2009

The house has the reel of a very private retreat. It is so peaceful and relaxing, yet all of Austin's fantastic entertainment is easily accessible.

The vaulted ceilings in the master bathroom are truly unique.

Beautiful home in the hills, quiet neighborhood, lots stars!

  • 5 of 5
This custom, spacious home has everything you need and is immaculately kept by a caring owner. Multi-level home has nooks for those needing privacy, massive furniture that accentuates the unique walls and layout, and glass walls that overlook the beautiful outdoors. I sat on the veranda at night and listened to the cicadas and counted stars and felt as isolated as ever since I could hear no city traffic or horns or emergency vehicles. The owner is conscientious, pays attention to details, and wants guests to be as comfortable as possible. I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a quiet get-away.

Beautiful property with attentive owners

  • 5 of 5
This is a very beautiful place that is secluded, yet close to everything. We recently had family come up for a birthday party, and decided to rent this place versus paying for the traditional hotel rooms. This was a great decision. The house is spacious and the grounds are beautiful. Also, the owners are very accomodating. We came with infants, and the owners were kind enough to provide cribs so that we did not have to worry about transporting them. They were available to answer any of our questions throughout the stay. If you are considering renting here, go ahead and book it. You'll be glad you did!

Wow! An awesome home in Austin!

  • 5 of 5
We came to Austin to celebrate a family wedding at Ladybird Wildflower Center and found the perfect place to stay for the week. Adriatic Serenity is nestled into the hillside at the end of a quiet cul de sac in the beautiful Texas hill country, secluded but yet so convienent to everything Austin has to offer. The house is eclectically beautiful, delightfully inspiring and a true artistic masterpiece. The flowing floorplan provides alot of space and privacy as each bedroom has it's own bathroom and also the casita for even more space. Our group of nine felt right at home. The renovated kitchen offers granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, a wine cooler and plenty of space to cook and hang out in. The master bath is an amazing piece of architecture-domed brick ceilings accentuated with cove lighting, stucco and expansive windows overlooking the beautiful hill country with a very comfortable reading couch! If those walls could speak it felt like every room in the house would have a story to tell. The yard and lanscaping are beautiful and perfect for outdoor grilling and visiting with friends and family on the many porches. The fig tree in the front was delightful as there were ripe figs while we were there! There is a trail down to Barton Creek from the property and great hiking and swimming at Sculpture Rock just a few miles down the road. Lucy is a wonderful and gracious host, helpful and fun, we feel like we have made a new friend. She has put a tremendous amount of hard work and heart into her home and it is quite inspiring. We highly recommend staying here if you're traveling to Austin, it is simply awesome.

Beautiful house, disappointing service

  • 2 of 5
The house was a beautiful setting for a retreat I attended - open, airy, relaxing, and with lovely views. At first, all seemed well with the owner present to welcome us and show us around. But then there were people working on the property the whole time we were there - including at least one man walking around the roof who could see in through the big windows! With 15 women staying onsite, that was disconcerting to say the least, and really distracted from the sessions.

We were given no warning that there would be construction on the property while we were there, or that the owner would be onsite the whole weekend. She even entered the house several times - during our sessions! - without calling, texting, or even knocking. I appreciate how well maintained the property was, but I feel we should have had some warning that there would be others on the property the whole time - and that the owner planned to come and go all the time! (The agreement even said she would call or text first).

Also, in one of the bedrooms, the air conditioning didn't seem to be working. Even with the fan on and the air set to 70 it was 74 degrees or higher according to the thermostat. I turned it down incrementally over a few hours until I set it to 65 to see if it would eventually cool down, but it did not. Then when I mentioned it to the owner (since she was onsite), she chastised our group for turning it down so low in that room even though there were no signs specifying acceptable temperatures. This was pretty frustrating, and her tone was upsetting to many in our group.

The house was beautiful and the owner seemed like a decent person, but things felt really unprofessional and not at all private, which put a damper on our retreat. Others at the retreat experienced additional issues, including rude and upsetting emails and texts after the fact, but these were my personal experiences. I would not recommend this property.

Owner's Response: First lets start about the complaint about workman that worked in the yard. When she arrived I asked right then, if is all right that we continue to work, since the work area is distant and not visible from house. Her answer was yes for sure it's all right it does not bother them at all. Again, I made sure saying we can continue work after their departure, and she insisted it's fine, no problem. The workman she mentions walking around the house and windows was to immediately repair the A/C problem she texted me about. The A/C unit is on the roof and the only way to get to the roof is around the window.

Next lets sort the complaint about me interrupting many times. Each time I came over it was immediately to respond and correct a problem that she texted or called me about. I never came unannounced or without door knocking. Their party was loud, and could not hear knocking.

I also do not understand her statement about being disappointed the way that I handled it. I was not aware of anything but how much they all like it. I did not hear one single complaint during their stay. Every single time I came her guests were overwhelmed with happiness how much they like it and thanking me to stay in my beautiful home. On her departure she texted, Lucy your home was perfect and so beautiful thank you for letting us to stay.

The real issue I believe is that her party violated many of our rental agreement terms, among the most problem being that septic system was clogged by feminine napkins, cloths, and other items down the toilet, which never happened before. I have sign in each bathroom requesting please not to throw items like this down the toilet. The last day she called me about the toilets backed up and when I got there it was fecal matter all the way to the brim. This was expensive to repair and caused me a lot of stress. Also, there was a very large amount of food trash, cooked meats, grease, etc., thrown over backyard fence, which if I had not noticed same day I would have problem because we have wildlife down in the canyon.

Great location, Beautiful Views, Very Accomodating

  • 5 of 5
We came into town for a wedding at Barton Creek Hotel and Resort and this house couldn't have been better for the weekend. First off, we were able to organize a shuttle to pick us up AND drop us off to and from the wedding which made the logistics around transportation super easy. The proximity to Barton Creek Resort could not have been easier. The house is still only 10-15 minutes from downtown and can accommodate any party looking to take in the nightlife and ambiance of downtown Austin, TX while in town.

We also went golfing at Barton Creek and the course is absolutely beautiful. I would recommend this house for a golfing trip as well. Once again, the proximity to the resort couldn't have been better.

Everything inside the house was perfect and there were more beds available than what we even needed! I would recommend this house to anyone visiting town looking to accommodate a large party looking to hit up downtown Austin or even anyone that's looking to get "out of town" and take in the beauty of the rolling hills and enjoy the scenery of the area.

On another note, Lucy is an amazing host that is incredibly understanding. The weather on our last day was absolutely horrible. Lucy called me and informed me not to rush out of the house and take our time and not to worry about loading up our cars during the storms. We were able to wait out the storm throughout the morning and early afternoon and were able to pack up after the rain and head out after the storm had passed.

An amazing property!

  • 5 of 5
We had the best time staying at Lucy's home for my University of Texas graduation. The house was unique and stunning. Beautiful rooms, stone walls, brick ceilings, and the list goes on. The master bath is unbelievable. The yard and surrounding property were filled with lush greenery and lovely flowers. There were plenty of areas outside to sit and soak up the sun and views. Sunsets are especially beautiful from the upstairs balcony. A path down to Barton Creek gives opportunity for walks and hikes in the quiet relaxing surroundings. There was plenty of room for everyone in our party of 12. Just talking about this property does not do it justice. Look at the pictures online and see for yourself. It is even more beautiful in person. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone.
