The expansive view encompasses the mouth of the Annisquam River to the Isle of Shoals in New Hampshire with Crane's Beach, Plum Island and Newburyport in between.
Screened-in Porch is 30 feet from the water's edge with no obstructions and complete privacy to listen to the rhythm of the waves, watch the local lobstermen, and totally unwind.
Spacious flat grassy yard with plenty of chairs for outdoor enjoyment.
The 5th-generation owners live on the property and are available to assist with your needs and to make recommendations.
Cottage Details: Screened-in Porch is 30 feet long across the water side of the cottage with picnic table and plenty of leisurely seating.
Sliding doors to the living room with TV, VCR, DVD, and WiFi access along with a beautiful granite fireplace.
Full kitchen with electric stove & oven, microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal, trash compactor, washer and dryer.
Bedrooms: one has queen, one had full, one had a pair of twins, plus a small kid's room with bunk beds.
Full bath has tub with shower.
All on one level.
Tastefully decorated with plenty of locally-inspired art.
Family friendly with lots of rock scrambling, tidal pool hunting, and general running around space.
The cottage has been regularly visited by the extended family for multiple generations and is considered our secret slice of heaven on earth (Shh!)
Cape Ann Attractions: Walk 1/10 mile to Plum Cove Beach, a small, safe, comfortable beach without the crowds. Walk less than a mile to Lanesville for coffee or a cold beer and kayak rentals. Walk about a mile to the Village of Annisquam to admire the quaint homes and boating activity.
Drive 5 miles to Rockport for the shops, art dealers, and the Shalin Liu Performance Center. Drive 5 miles to Gloucester for the restaurants, museums, and whale watching excursions.
Good Harbor Beach and Wingaersheek Beach are both only 8 miles away.
Salem's Witch Museums and Peabody Essex Art Museum are only 20 minutes away by car.
Or take the Metro-North train to Boston from either Rockport or Gloucester in an hour.
