Owner was a part time travel agent. Please email for other Greek destination suggestions regarding your Greek Vacation Experience.
I have helped many of my past rental clients with their travel itineraries free of charge.
Restaurants/Coffee Houses: Restaurants are numerous and reasonable around the neighborhood. Also numerous coffee shops with WiFi to enjoy a relaxing coffee while you stay in touch with family and friends back home.
Neighborhood: There is a large park for fresh air and relaxation just few meter away. At the perimeter of the park are the restaurants and coffee houses where you can sit and relax, (5 restaurants, 10 coffee houses). The neighborhood is safe and very traditional to the Greek local life. More restaurants can be found around the Metro stop also.
You can also find many grocery stores, banks, pharmacies, the weekly farmer's market, shops, and many neighborhood stores that makes this area so unique.
Just 5 to 7 minutes by Metro you are at all Antiquities and the center of Athens.
Maria is a retired educator, Tony is a semi-retired attorney who is still busy with some cases.
We purchased this property for its location to the center of Athens, and easy access to the beaches. The Metro is 5 fast stops to Syndagma and the tram takes you to the numerous city beaches in the summer.
I also was a part time travel agent and can help travellers with their holiday plans to islands and greek villages.
We love travelling but understand comfort.
We live in Michigan 7 months out of the year and reside in South Africa, and Greece the rest of the time.
Maria or Anthony Lamberis purchased this apartment in 2001
Our property has an open living space between Large entrance, living room and dining room. It is NOT NARROW as most other new constructions display. It is extremely spacious - 1300 sq. ft. Read some of our reviews to get a better idea as to why this property over others. Have a look at the youtube link as well.
the location is great, near the center of Athens (Syndagma), 7 minutes away on Metro Rail from the apartment. The local tram, a 2 minutes walk away, takes you to the numerous beaches of Athens. The neighborhood is safe, quiet, and has some of the best restaurants in the city. They are very reasonable, and authentic Greek cuisine. That was one of the reasons why we love it here. Live like a local. Buy fresh produce from the farmer's market down the road.
Just a quick note to let you know what a great time Rebecca and I had in Greece. Your property is truly wonderful. Very close to the metro - which we used frequently and so many great cafes - we took advantage of it all. Eleni is a truly wonderful ambassador for your place. Eleni was beyond helpful and we felt perfectly “looked after”. Not too much and not too little….she is a delight!
We ventured out to Santorini and had a remarkable couple of days out there. Everything was superb. It was a remarkable experience for me - one whom has been to Europe several times - to see it through the eyes of an 18 year old who is on her first European adventure.
Thank you for being a part of this trip - all the info and the suggestions.
Greece will be in our travel plans in the years ahead.
Spacious apartment in a great location. You get a real Greek hospitality and experience. Near a large park to sit and watch the local life while you enjoy a great meal or just a coffee.
We spent 6 nights at the apartment, and enjoyed ourselves immensely here. I wish we had been able to stay longer, as we loved this apartment. The owner, Maria, is a terrific Lady, who gave us over the top information. She sent us maps and instructions in advance, so it was easy to find the apartment, she also gave us great tips about the neighborhood and Athens in general. Her agent lives below the apartment (separate entrance), who was available at all times. Walked us around the neighborhood on our first day.
We loved the neighborhood; a short walk to the metro station, and close to all the major bus lines. Lots of grocery stores, bakeries and cafes nearby, even a child's playground. It was nice not to be in the heart of “tourist” Athens, yet close enough to all the attractions.
The apartment is lovely! Very spacious, well furnished, exactly as described. The air conditioners worked extremely well, so if you are here during the hot summer months, you’ll be assured of a cool oasis in the city. Complimentary wi-fi access and even free cell phone to make local calls, or call a taxi.
I highly recommend this apartment, and I will stay here again on my next visit to Athens. Thanks again for a wonderful experience.
Terrific location. Clean and spacious apartment. Stayed here for about 5 days with our 3 children. Everything worked well and no issues at all. Maria the owner sent us lots of area information prior to the trip. We had a wonderful time and would totally recommend this apartment for any visit.
We travel often to Europe and always use HomeAway and VRBO. This time we hit the jack pot.
We were greeted at the airport by the owner's taxi driver. Paid the same amount as the local taxi charge (€35,00), however, he was waiting for us at the information center with our name, especially when our flight was 3 hours late. He took us right away to our home. No fuss, or hassle! We felt like ROYALTY.
The apartment was large, sunny, very clean and ready for us to start our holiday.
The beds have an extra pad to make the European beds more comfy. The kitchen was complete to make some meals at home. The Farmer's Market is near by with veggies and fresh fish, eggs, etc. Linen were plentiful for us with extra sheets if we needed them.
The restaurants were very reasonable with authentic local Greek food. We started our day at a favorite coffee shop and some cheese puffs. We had a great meal of Kabobs, salad, & fries delivered from: KRAZY DONKEY. A must delivery when you are tired at night from sightseeing.
Having said that! The owner send a plethora of emails exposing us to places that we had no idea in visiting. Maria saved us a lot of money by using her suggestions. We used the same driver and got to our destinations without any hassle. He picked us from home.
The agent, Elena, walked us around the neighborhood and was our tour guide in the city on one occasion. We felt like we were family. We saw some areas that tourists do not see.
We have NEVER HAD SERVICE LIKE THAT BEFORE.
Our family would come back here again, and again. We want to visit some islands Maria suggested.

What a great find in Athens. Our friends stayed here last year and raved about it. The neighborhoods restaurants are great, the numerous coffee shops were delightful to start our day.
We enjoyed the Farmer's Market and the great little bakeries & groceries around the house.
The Metro is near the house, the Antiquities are only 1&1/2 miles away. We walked one day to the Museum, but we took the Metro for the rest of our touring. We were at the Antiquities within minutes with the Metro.
The apartment is comfortable, spacious, clean and has everything a family could want to cook in the kitchen. The beds are soft and comfortable. Kudos to the owner. The owner emailed us so much information, that we did things we did not even thought of. Very informative information.
We never had such service before at other VRBO places.
Our agent was also our tour guide on couple of occasions at a real reasonable cost.
She toured the city with us for only €15,00 an hour for the whole family vs €20,00 a person the other walking tours charged. We visited wonderful, fun places besides the touristic places.
We were very happy we found this place to enjoy Athens.
We wanted to stay near Athens, but in a neighborhood that depicted a Greek flair. This apartment met all our needs. The apartment is large, tall ceilings, clean, spacious and sunny with a relaxed atmosphere.
Knowing that the agent is below us, made it comfortable. Elena speaks English to help us with every question we had. We had stayed at another apartment and the agent was nowhere to be found when we needed him.
The owner emailed us a dozen emails to show us where to go and what to do for a more rewarding vacation.
I would GREATLY recommend this apartment. We had a great time. The neighborhood is great and close to the Metro for all our Antiquity places we visited.
Our family of five (3 teenage girls) stayed in this apartment after Christmas, through New Year's Day. There was plenty of room for all of us, and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. How can you beat two balconies and the ability to just grab a lemon outside your window?? The apartment is located in a real neighborhood, not in a touristy area, which was great for us to immerse ourselves in the culture. We second all the comments about Maria and the agent who lives downstairs as well as the positive comments about the apartment. They provided so much information to us, along with suggestions for events that were going on while we were there. Plenty of restaurants, two grocery stores, and a patisserie. The metro was a quick walk, and easy to navigate. We can't say enough positive things about our experience. Thank you, Maria, for allowing us to stay in your apartment!

The apartment is 200 meters from Dafni Metro rail. In 4 minutes you are at the Acropolis Museum and the entrance to the hill that will take you to the Parthenon.
Another few minutes of Metro transportation you are at the center of town, where the Parliament is with the changing of the guards. Plaka, Monastiraki, Bonaki museum and other tourists attractions.
You can take a short taxi ride and go the Archeological Museum that is only 5 minutes by taxi ride or 10 by bus.
The Dafni neighborhood has numerous restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, banks, pharmacies, schools, police station, and parks, with a kiddie part right around the corner of the apartment.
