Condo, 3 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 2 Baths (Sleeps 3-6)

March 1st - July 1st and then again it opens on August 1st 2013

This is a nicely furnished, two-level condo with plenty of natural light pouring in through the kitchen skylight, as well as through the row of French doors set off the living room. The main floor includes one bedroom with a queen bed, one bath, living room, large peninsula counter top, and full kitchen. The downstairs contains is the 2nd bedroom with a double size bed. We've added a kids play area downstairs that has a queen bed, crib, DVD player, books, toys that will keep the little ones busy. The laundry room is also downstairs. The patio is a wonderful spot where you can sip your morning coffee, dine, or just sit and relax. Basic Cable TV is offered, as well as a phone, stereo, DVD/VHS player. This is a non-smoking unit.

We offer a child friendly home. Provided are a Play-n-Pac, high chair, toys/books, fenced back patio.

Our condo is located blocks away from the Hawthorne Boulevard. Hawthorne is lined with locally-owned coffee shops, antique stores, cafes, and trendy clothing shops, many with a bohemian flavor reminiscent of the 70's. Enjoy the many popular restaurants and pubs, which offer sidewalk seating or wander among the tree lined neighborhoods where the bungalow and craftsman homes have been restored to there natural beauty.

We also have beautiful Laurelhurst park five blocks down. The 30 acre interior of the park is defined by a large pond, the walking paths that snake through the landscape makes for great wandering, with plenty of benches and nooks to drop down on for a moment of repose, or perhaps some lunch. The park also provides a great kid friendly area.

A major bus line is conveniently located one block away.

We're seven minutes from downtown; ten minutes from Portland State University, fifteen minutes from Oregon Health Sciences University; and about twenty minutes from the airport.

1st time to Portland for me. So many wonderful things to do - Multnomah Falls, hiking in beautiful forests and overlooking the ocean, waterfalls, Columbia River Gorge, Full Sail Brewery, great restaurants within walking distance of the condo. The condo was pretty, comfortable, roomy, well stocked, and had a nice view from the balcony. Once we had to ask the neighbors to be a little quieter late at night but they were very nice about it.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

great rental: clean, fantastic location, comfy beds, child friendly

We stayed here for 6 days in August and had a terrific time. The location is terrific, one block from the restaurants of Belmont, and a short walk to the shops and restaurants on Hawthorne. You can be up on Mt. Tabor or in the downtown/Pearl district within 10 minutes.

The house was very clean and well stocked. The kitchen had nice pots and pans for cooking. We had two small children and the owner had clearly put a lot of thought into making the place child friendly. There was a nice little crib and high chair, a baby gate for the stairs, and plastic cups and plates provided. The three beds were all very comfortable.

Our only complaint about the property was that the internet access (the wifi) was a bit slow and unpredictable. It worked, but it worked slowly and often seemed to click out.

But other than that, it was a terrific place and we would definitely recommend it to others and stay there again ourselves. We had a great time. Thanks!

An OK stay.

We were 3 adults and a toddler. We found this place to be ok, my major complaint was that the extra room in the basement was really a garage converted to a bedroom so it was cold and noisy. The central air was also very noisy and rattled a lot. The neighbours would watch movies at night and that was pretty noisy as well but at least it wasn't too late. It is kid friendly place but I would recommend that light sleepers sleep on the upper or other room that is actually a room and not the garage room. The house next to the apt is also abandoned but it was safe area. Since it was so noisy in that extra room I am not sure if I would rent this place again.

Terrific family-friendly condo

We had a wonderful stay at this property while visiting with friends in the area. It was very clean, comfortable, and kid-friendly! We especially enjoyed the deck and the terrific location--there are many charming eateries withing walking distance. The owners and property manager were lovely to work with. We would highly recommend this property to others and stay there again ourselves.

We stayed at this condo for five nights while I attended at conference at Reed College. It was convenient to the college, to restaurants within walking distance, and to downtown. It was well furnished with everything we wanted. It's an attractive, kid-friendly condo with a great front deck for people watching. We would definitely recommend this for a Portland stay.
