Paradise Creek is the best of Northern New Mexico in the mountains of Questa. Questa is a small, quaint, heritage rich town that is just north of Taos about 20 enchanting miles. It is also the place where you turn east, at the only light in town, for another scenary- filled 10 min. drive to Red River. About 15 miles North is the Wild Rivers and another few miles the beautiful Valle Vidal. To the south 10 minutes is the local's favorite fishing spots in Arroyo Hondo.

Casita has two bedrooms. A master bedroom with a queen bed. The second has a murphy's bed that turns into a double sleeper, additional sofa sleeper in the living area. 1 l/2 bath, washer and dryer, handcrafted cabinets, saltio tile and wood floors. This house is located in the northern end of the property. Please inquire if you would like to rent the main house!

Questa is located on the Enchanted Circle scenic highway, near the confluence of the Rio Grande and the Red River, at the western base of the Taos ski basin

The Best Fishing Spots in New Mexico: Questa is surrounded by beautiful majestic mountains. Hiking trails are abundant and the fishing spots are too numerous to mention them all. A ten minute walk with get you to Eagle Rock Lake. Cabresto Lake, Goose Lake, Goose Creek, Wild Rivers, Valle Vidal, Arroyo Hondo John Dunn Bridge are just minutes away. Take your children to the Fish Hatchery located just south of Questa.

Centrally Located -Between Taos and Red River: Go south and visit Taos museums, Town Plaza, Taos Pueblo, the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge and you don't want to miss viewing the Miracle Painting in Ranchos De Taos. Taos is known for it's world class mountain ski area. Enjoy the delicious food at the many local restaurants. Water Rafting is popular and a ton of fun. Check in at a local rafting shop in Taos and have the time of your life. Taos is just 20-25 miles south of the property.

Go East and enjoy the Red River mountain Resort. Plenty to do for families. Red River has plenty of fun activities to do like jeep rides, bicycles, chair lift rides, community center dancing lessons, etc. The Red River Ski area offers down hill skiing.

Peace and Quiet!!!

I spent a week at the Casita. It was early Spring, so the weather was all over the place - from snowy days to warm afternoons. But the Casita was perfect for whatever the day held. From the property, it was easy to get to just about anywhere in North Central New Mexico - Red River and Taos are my particular favorites of mine. And the house is a perfect jumping on point for the beautiful Enchanted Circle Drive. And it was so relaxing to just sit by creek that runs through the property and listen to the birds in the cottonwoods. But even when the weather was inclement, the house was cozy and had everything I needed or wanted. And Patricia was ever helpful and a wealth of information about the area. If you are looking for a nice quiet place to serve as a home-base for your adventures, this place can't be beat!

Hi Ms Patricia,

Thank you so much for your precious casita. We enjoyed it so much! Just perfect for our family and pets :) You have provided everything we need. The casita is right in the middle of everything. Red River Ski Area 15 mins away and Taos Ski Valley 30 mins away. A nice and scenic 2 hrs drive to Santa Fe. We went fishing in John Dunn Bridge but unfortunately didnt catch anything :( maybe cause it's winter already but we still enjoyed it, loved the views! Also, we saw an elk who was looking right at us on top of the mountain, really cool! The best thanksgiving vacation so far!. We will surely come back next time :) Again thank you so much! God Bless!

A getaway to remember--at the end of fall with the just the right amount of leaves clinging on to the last wind of the season. The "Casita" provided an excellent home base as we traveled around the area including: Ojo Caliente, Red River, Taos, the "Gorge", etc. Being able to come back to the base and being able to relax among the trees and Paradise Creek made this excursion quite memorable. As for the "Casita", a great place with all the amenities of home. Plenty of room for 4-6 folks with room to spare. You can even park your RV in the yard. Nestled among the aspens and cottonwoods, great space for everyone to run around, build a campfire--roasting marshmallows--no need to leave the place. Listen to Paradise Creek run thru the property while taking in the cool mountain air. Not to mention, our wonderful host who welcomed us personally as we arrived. So much history, so much to tell, so little time there. The fall season was exceptional; therefore, we will try to make the spring in order to see life come back to the trees. We will make it our place away from home! Thanks Patricia!!
