SUNSATIONAL-- The perfect name for this new home. This home could just as well be called The House for Family Fun. No detail has been left unturned for your group. The pictures do not begin to do the house justice. Sunsational has all the bells and whistles you expect from a new home: stainless steel appliances, ice maker in the refrigerator door, granite counter tops in the kitchen and baths, ceramic tile floors, 4 8' French doors leading to decks on two levels and three sides of the house, over sized windows (33 of them!), double vanities in each of the 4 bathrooms, and of course a private pool. Sunsational is in the wonderful subdivision of Seagrass on fantastic Cape San Blas. The following is just a partial list of amenities. Five LCD TV's: one 32' in each of 3 bedrooms, one 42' in the bedroom/game room and a 52' in the living room. The open floor plan on the second level has a huge kitchen, living room with two full sofa's, and a gathering height dining room table that seats 12! The kitchen has every small appliance that you can think of. In addition to the usual toaster, blender, drip coffee pot, there is also a coffee grinder, bread maker, mix master, crock pot, smoothie machine, electric frying pan, and even a hot air popcorn machine. The Wolfgang Puck stainless steel pots and pans are a joy to cook with, and there are wonderful serving pieces for your fantastic creations. Hand utensils are more than complete: garlic press, baster, every size and shape of knife, juicer, vegetable brush, meat tenderizer, tea and herb ball, cheese grater, and wire whisks are just a few of the items in addition to all the usual you would expect. Dinner service for 16 is matching Correlle (even the glasses match), and the silver is Oneida. Not to be forgotten is the well stocked cabinet of glasses for your cocktail hour.
About that bedroom/game room. On the ground level with its own door to the pool area is a room so large that it has a sitting area which includes a queen sofa sleeper, and a love seat, a king bed, a game table with 6 chairs and two pieces of exercise equipment. This area along with the wonderful selection of games, puzzles, books and VHS tapes that are in the adjoining walk in closet is the reason this room is sure to be the center of your fun. And for this room and the pool convenience is a full bath with its own door to the pool area!
The pool area is just one more wonderful feature of this house. Enclosed with privacy fence, the area has just had a beautiful patio of pavers put in. A patio table for 6 with umbrella, 6 chaise lounge chairs and propane grill ensures a great time.
The other 3 bedrooms will hardly be used with so much to do, but are also wonderful rooms. On the second level is the queen room, furnished with traditional Florida wicker. There is a full bath on this level, as well. On the top level is the Master Bedroom. It is so big that the king bed looks lost. We joke that the shower in the attached master bath could seat 4 for dinner, and there is also a garden tub. Also on the top level is the bunk room with Safari theme. Fun for kids, teens, or even adults. There are two sets of bunks with twin on top, and full on the bottom, which allows for sleeping 6.
In addition there is high speed wireless internet, free long distance (to U.S. and Canada), stereo system, home theater system, DVD's, VCR, cable TV, ironing board and iron, washer and dryer, parking for 6 cars, newly landscaped, his and hers bikes (maybe kids bikes will be added), and on and on.
This house is just a short walk to the community pool or the pure white beach of the Cape. Now add the Sun and you truly have SUNSATIONAL.

My husband and I purchased this property this past winter and had a great time furnishing Sunsational for our rental guests. We are retired and live in Illinois. We previously owned and operated a camping resort that also had rental lodging, so we know just what you want in amenities and furnishings in order to have a great group experience. Our dogs love our decision to go Dog Friendly.
The Owner purchased this house in 2008
The Cape beaches are some of the most beautiful we have ever seen and the fact that this entire area is dog friendly really sold us on the location. Our dogs love their daily walks on the beach. We love the pure white sand that we can walks for miles, the clean water for swimming fun, and the great bike path just outside our door. You can rent kayaks (even a clear bottom one), canoes, and even a golf cart and never leave the cape. OR you can rest and relax and do absolutely nothing. Most of all we like the peace and quiet of this low density community where no building can be higher than 4 floors. The area is great fun and the seafood is not to be beat. (Don't be afraid to try an Oyster!)
SUNSATIONAL was furnished as if we were going to live here year-round (wish we could), with the greatest attention to detail. We love the kitchen, the decks, and all the space that this hugh house has. Even whem we had a house full of guests, no one was crowded with all the big rooms. And all the TV's, games, books, movies for the occasional rainy day really come in handy. We think the very best part of SUNSATIONAL is the expanded deck area we put in around the pool. With 6 chaise lounges, a patio table for 6, grill and a few pool toys, all next to that wonderful bed/game room, this is all sure to be the center of Your Family Fun.
House was large and nice, but there were a few problems. We had 15 people but there are only enough beds for 14. That is if two people sleep on the pullout that is in one of the bedrooms. One of our guest slept on the couch, that is not a pullout, and another on a cot that we brought. There are small mats provided but they would only be comfortable for a young child. I would say this house works best for six adults and 7 children. We were creeped out when we saw rats on the property. The first was on the first day when one was observed running away from the front door. The second was floating on our swimming float in the pool, and then the next morning we saw two in the front yard. We called the agent but were told that they were a protected species and could not do anything about them. The carpets needed cleaning badly. We were disappointed to find the beach cart broken and unusable, the umbrella broken and four of the bikes broken.
These items should not be included in the amenities since they are unusable.
The location is good if you want somewhere off of the beaten path. Very safe for bike riding, and the beaches are not crowded. The pool is also nice to have.
The home is gorgeous – spacious, modern, clean, and very sunny and cheerful. Four large bedrooms, huge bathrooms, open floor plan, wrap around decks with two views of the ocean (sunrises and sunsets !). Swimming pool with plenty of chairs and lounging space, shower by the pool, bikes to ride, games, tv’s everywhere, the list is endless. The kitchen and eating area are 5 star ! The owners have provided all the cooking and dining amenities, nothing has been left out. Plenty of seating - 12 or more - around the dining room table.
The beaches are gorgeous too and only a boardwalk away – fine sand, perfect for swimming, beach-combing, or sun-bathing. You can hike them for miles, or just sit and relax to the ocean waves or watch the sunset. One memorable evening we grabbed the lawn chairs and had a fire on the beach under the stars. And if you need a change of pace from the ocean there is also a community swimming pool a very short walk from Sunsational.
Other activities that we experienced were horseback riding on the beach, hiking Cape San Blas State Park, biking the peninsula, visiting the manatees at Edward Ball Wakulla Springs State Park (2 hour ride but worth it), checking out the pristine caves at Florida Caverns State Park (1.5 hrs), hiking and watching the dolphins at St Vincent Wildlife Refuge, and sightseeing and dining in Port St Joe and Apalachicola.
Everything in the owner’s description of their home and area is 100% true. You will absolutely not be disappointed if you rent this property. We will definitely be coming back !
Stayed at this home Sept 2010. It was clean, large, wonderful. The pool was so nice, the kitchen was wonderful to cook in. Bedrooms large, large, large. So much room and space. Plently of games and a huge video library. Very wonderful beach home. We loved it. You cannot go wrong renting this home. We were there a whole month and enjoyed every minute being there. You can tell the owners have gone that extra mile to make it a wonderful experience.
