Our High Valley House is a wonderful place that has been our family home for the last 10 years. Love at first site is what made us buy it and will make you glad that you are here. Sit in the porch swing or hammock and take in the miles-long view, or enjoy it through the huge windows that surround the house. Better yet, join up around the fire-pit or soak in the hot tub. Easy access to a 4-lane Highway, but very secluded. Close to the NOC, whitewater, Tsali mountain biking, Appalachian Trail, Lake Fontana, Tail of the Dragon for motorcycles, Smoky Mountain National Park, and the Cherokee Casino.
The house layout works great for separating the guests. The master bedroom is on the main level with a Queen bed and the jetted tub with windows to the world. Downstairs, there is the King bedroom, the Double bedroom, and a Kids room with a dual twin bed trundle. There is also a separate bathroom and laundry downstairs. Outside exits from both ends of the downstairs give you easy access to the yard and hot tub. You relax upstairs and put the kids and in-laws downstairs, or switch. Everyone can re-group on the main level with the open kitchen that is great for visiting and enjoying the views out the over-size windows.
If you are in the area to ride your motorcycle on the amazing mountain roads, this house will make a great central base for exploring. There is a huge covered area under the front deck that you can ride into and out of. There is only a short stretch of level gravel road coming into the neighborhood, otherwise all pavement access including the driveway.
Cyclists will appreciate the covered bike wash area to work on and leave their bikes
Fisherman will enjoy the easy access to the Nantahala and Little Tennessee Rivers and Lake Fontana.
There are great quiet walks right from the house and folks with a little adventure can even hike all the way down to the Nature Conservancy tracts of the Needmore Tract on the Little Tennessee River.
All this, yet the house is very easy to access and is only 15 minutes from Bryson City.

We very much enjoyed our stay at your beautiful mountain home. It was a great place to relax and catch up with our grown children. And you can't beat that awesome view from the porch!
The house was very attractive and well kept. The setting is stunning. The owner is very helpful.
The rental was outstanding. exceeded all three couples expectations......Will be back here year after year if not booked for your annual vacations / mountain biking trip~ Kudos to the owners for such a nice set up; and sharing it with others~ Aaron (TSALI - TRIP 2014)
NOTE - the driveway is steep but not an issues for any of our vehicles, and there is generous turn around area!
Our trip included both sets of grandparents, me and my husband along with our four children. We have a 3, 7, 13, and 17 year old. There was ten of us in total and the house fit us nicely. Our oldest daughter slept in the loft where she could stay up a little later and watch tv. One set of grandparents stayed on the middle floor while the rest of us fit perfectly downstairs. We had trouble with the stove wanting to turn off but we found out the owner is actually in the process of replacing the stove-which is great that he was already aware of it. The view is amazing and whole family loved the hammock! The hot tub is nice too because when you are finished there is a quick entrance downstairs inside to a bathroom for changing clothes. When we left, we left several things behind on accident. We contacted the owner who had already collected those items to be sent to us. We returned and was able to get our things. The owner was super nice and interested in out stay. Loved the trip and our hope is to return some time in the future!
enjoyed stay very much-great surrounding-owner gave good directions-easy to get to rafting and bryson city-will go back in fall
This cabin was the perfect mountain retreat for our family vacation. Beautiful mountain views with easy access to Bryson City and other nearby attractions. The hammock and porch swing were the coveted spots for the week! So much space too! I also loved all the windows so that I could see the beautiful mountains and still enjoy the a/c!
