1 bedroom with Loft, sleep 2-4

Classic Venice Beach Craftsman-style cottage with excellent location near the Venice/Santa Monica border. Just steps to Abbott Kinney in Venice (1.5 blocks), Main Street in Santa Monica (2 blocks), and the world-famous Venice Beach Boardwalk (4 short blocks). Whole Foods and Ralph's are both less than a mile away.

This is an adorable one bedroom cottage with an open living plan and all the amenities of home. Two sets of french doors provide TONS of natural lighting and outdoor living: one set opens the living room up to a beautiful wooden deck while the other leads straight from the cozy bedroom to the brick patio. There, you'll have exclusive use of the Teak Picnic Table, commercial grade BBQ Grill, 4-person Jacuzzi, wood-burning chiminea, and propane heater. Adirondacks dot the property if you're in the mood to read a good book, surf the internet on the wireless network, or just lounge around.

Living: The bedroom features a comfortable queen-size Tempurpedic mattress and pillows. A queen size hide-away sofa accommodates extra sleepers.

There is a flat screen TV with DirecTV and ALL the movie and HD channels, a DVD player that streams your netflix, and a surround sound stereo system.

We provide complimentary use of our beach towels, two portable beach chairs, and a portable cooler for use during your stay.

We have two adult beach cruisers for rent, complete with baskets and locks for cruising down the boardwalk, trips to the grocery store, or just exploring the neighborhood.

Environmentally Friendly: The property is very environmentally friendly and includes xersicaping and solar paneling.

Greetings! My name is Faye.

This is not just any vacation rental, this is my home. I chose to rent it out to travelers because I, myself, travel extensively for work and, unfortunately, am not home much. When I am though, I like to be comfortable, which is why you will only find the best amenities at this Venice Beach Cottage. No rental-grade equipment here. From high grade cutlery and cookery to the TempurPedic mattress to the comfortable jacuzzi, you will live as comfortably here as you live at home. I see being home as a vacation for myself, and I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do.

We had a lovely stay at your bungalow. It was very clean and inviting. We instantly felt right at home. Though small, once you open the doors leading to the wrap around deck, the place just opened up. We would definitely stay again, if you would have us. Great location, especially being so close to Abbott Kinney.

A True Home Away From Home...

We just returned from our spring break visit (April, 2012) and stayed at this property. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely come back and stay in this cottage again if given the chance. :)

We were very impressed with the Property Owner who was incredibly accommodating to all of our needs and helped make our stay very comfortable.

The cottage was perfect for our family's needs (2 adults, 2 teens), we did not want for anything during our stay...as a vacation should be!

I would not hesitate recommending this property to anyone that was considering a visit to the Venice/Santa Monica area.

Thanks for the great memories, hope to see you again! :)

Cutest little cottage ever

My husband and I stayed in the cottage for a week, unfortunately, we were there for work (and the place was perfect for that, too), but we wished we would have had more time to enjoy more of what the cottage has to offer, use the bikes and the hut tub more often. Faye and Reeves are very helpful and kind, Faye reacted immediately when I brought up one issue with her and it was solved right on the spot. I almost don't want to rave too much, so that the place is vacant for when we come back, but to all fellow travelers out there: I don't think you will regret renting this place. It is in a great location, and you have the place and the little garden/deck around the house all to yourself.

Wonderful Stay!

Awesome cottage in a great location, and everything we needed for a successful week in Venice. The cottage is beautiful, clean and the open plan living area provides a comfortable, spacious atmosphere. It's a perfect distance from the beach and other Venice hotspots such as Abbott Kinney Blvd and is within full reach of bus stops if you don't have access to a car (like us!). The back yard area outside is also adorable and equipped with BBQ necessities, and the hot tub is perfect for relaxing after a day of getting about LA with no car :)
A wonderful stay had by all and very much looking forward to the next.

Perfect for this solo traveler

I found this to be a perfect little hideaway, easy walking and biking distance to anywhere I wanted to be. The bed was great (memory foam mattress) and the hot tub was just the thing after a day out. I did not really cook but did find the coffee and wine glasses easy enough.. I really hope to find the time to come back again.
This was really the perfect stay for someone who has grown tired of the staying at hotels. I also think this would be a great couples place to stay. Only just be aware that bed access is really from the foot of the bed and could be hard for someone with any mobility issues. Owners were very helpful and provided excellent insight to the area.
