MARATHON'S NEWEST, MOST SECLUDED VACATION COMMUNITY, W/ FABULOUS POOL, BOAT DOCK

What a great week in the Keys! Our family of five (3 teenagers) was thrilled with the home we rented at Indigo Reef. The sunsets were gorgeous and the salt water pool was warm, clean and never crowded. The house was clean, beautifully furnished, and stocked with all the necessities. While we ate out often, we had everything we needed to cook full meals at the condo. A quick trip to the Publix and we were all set!
We loved the central location in Marathon and enjoyed the ride to Key West to celebrate July 4th. It only took an hour and a half to make the trip and the ride down US1 was very scenic. There was no shortage of activities and dining in the Marathon area. We rented jet skis, a boat from Captain Pip's, and made beach trips to Bahia Honda State Park and Sombrero Beach. There was a lot of sea grass on the Bahia Honda Beach and we enjoyed the sand and water at Sombrero Beach more. If you enjoy sea kayaking, Bahia Honda has rentals. Our favorite dinner was at the Islamorada Fish Company. The grouper reuben was delicious! We also enjoyed waterfront dinners at Burdines, Island Fish Company, Sunset Grill, and Cabana Breezes. Most memorable treat - Savannah's for ice cream.
The description of the property on HomeAway.com was very accurate and helpful and the owners of the condo were great to work with. We wouldn't hesitate to visit again!!!

We had a fabulous stay at Indigo Reef! This vacation home was everything that was advertised, though the pictures still did not do it justice. A photo cannot capture the feeling of sitting on the porch watching the sky – sunrise, sundown, storms, etc … all were equally wonderful to watch. There was always a slight, tropical breeze, so it was very comfortable sitting on the covered/shaded porch.

The owners were very easy to work with and very accessible. There were some good restaurants nearby, but we liked Sparky's so much - we just kept going back there when we did go out. The condo is so beautiful in the evenings, we really didn't want to drive anywhere.

We had our boat with us and it was so easy to walk out the porch door and down to the dock. This is important when carrying the various fishing rods/equipment, snorkel gear, coolers, etc. The dock area is a perfect place in the evenings for cleaning the days catch and talking will all the other fisherman that have come in. The fishermen in the family especially enjoyed this each evening. A true community feeling.

The location is great for fishing the reef, fishing the Hump, as well as in-shore mangrove fishing and fishing around the 7-mile bridge. Snorkeling was an easy ride to several nice places.

After a long day of water activities, we very much enjoyed relaxing in the salt water swimming pool. The condo itself was very well appointed and clean.

What I most appreciated? … was the VERY comfortable bed. A comfortable bed, with great linens, helps to off-set the soreness that goes along with all-day water activities!

We look forward to our next visit - because we will be back!

This condo was in the perfect location (about halfway between Key Largo and Key West) Made it very convenient for all our excursions. It was off the main road, but very close to grocery store, pharmacy, beaches and fishing!

Condo was very clean and well equipped. The beds were super comfortable. Owners were great to deal with - answered all questions promptly. Would definitely stay here again!

The sunsets were absolutely stunning from the back porch and our last night we were treated to 2 dolphins playing out in the water.

The Dolphin Research Center was close by and was a lot of fun. Also went fishing on the Marathon Lady (right across the street) - caught our dinner! The condo is located a few miles from Sombrero Beach, 7 Mile Bridge and the Turtle Hospital.

Had a great vacation - can't wait to go back! Thank you for sharing your home!
