Enjoy wide-open water views and sip a cool drink on Casa SuMarco's huge wrap-around deck overlooking one of the most beautiful bays in the entire Caribbean. Only a few hundred feet from the water's edge and cooled by tropical breezes, this comfortable 2-bedroom house sleeps up to 4 people, perfect for a family or couples. Enjoy the privacy of having your own house and landscaped grounds in a small, safe and friendly neighborhood on the bay.

Both bedrooms are air-conditioned, all other rooms have ceiling fans. Prepare your own meals in the fully equipped kitchen or sample island cooking at Culebra's unique variety of restaurants. Casa SuMarco has a washing machine, dvd/flat screen tv with a varied movie library, cd/ipod stereo, outdoor gas grill, broadband internet access with wifi & ethernet, indoor & outdoor showers. Your private parking area is right at the front gate in our own outdoor car-port. The spacious grounds have flowering shrubs and palm trees. A perfect island getaway.

Shhh, don't tell . . .: Culebra is among the 'Best Secret Islands on Earth' (Travel & Leisure, 2010), has one of the '6 Caribbean Beaches to See Before You Die' (New York Times, 2011), and nearby Flamenco Beach is 'One of the Top 10 in the World' (Travel Channel, 2010). Flamenco Beach is just 6 minutes from Casa SuMarco by car or scooter. Its central location on the island is convenient to all restaurants, shops, town, ferry and airport. A few friendly watering holes in town have live music or karaoke on some nights. Restaurants range from simple island cooking to elegant gourmet dining. Small local markets and unique island gift shops provide for all your needs. A weekly open-air produce market offers a cornucopian array of fresh fruit & vegetables.

All you need are flipflops and sunblock: Nature is the local attraction on Culebra. Endless white sandy beaches dot the island. Many are within a few minutes' ride from the house. Casa SuMarco is in a small, friendly and safe neighborhood overlooking Culebra's main bay, Ensenada Honda, considered by many to be the most beautiful bay in the Caribbean. The sunrise-to-sunset panoramic view is breathtaking. We're convenient to all the great beaches, to town, restaurants and shops, markets, the airport and ferry. By car or scooter it's about 6 minutes to Flamenco Beach, 12 minutes to Zoni Beach, 7 minutes to the center of town and the ferry dock.

The house is very comfortable for two people, and the deck is great to relax on in the morning or evening. You could do it all day if Culebra didn't have such wonderful beaches. We would have spent more time in the house, but our short four-day stay required us to get out and see everything we could. If you can stay for an entire week, there is no reason not to! The house is only a short drive the from airport and town of Dewey, so you're far enough away to feel secluded but still within 15 minutes of everything on the island.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
Owner's Response: Glad you got to see the whole island in your short stay. Next time I hope you can stay for a week to spend more time lounging on the deck and soaking up the view!

Everything was TOP RATE! Susan has thought of everything! What a fantastic vacation, we will definately be back. Susan, thanks for being so patient with us and by the way, Jerry (Jerry's Jeeps)was AWESOME, his restaurant recommendation were "spot on". Can't figure out why he had some bad reviews, he is great. The pics do not do this place justice, the view from the deck was "Postcard Perfect" and of course, my sons LOVED lounging in the hammock. The beach chairs, Boogie Boards and cooler were a real convenience. Thanks for everything! I already have friends/coworkers asking about our stay and I am a little reluctant to tell them, as I don't want the secret to get out! Susan, thanks again for allowing us to stay in your very quaint home!

The place was great.

We did very much enjoy our trip to Culebra this year and your sweet little place was just about perfect for us. We found it extremely comfortable and, though small, the deck is an additional and lovely space. All the recliners and chairs and couches were very comfortable and in good shape which is always nice. Claudia particularly loves to always be able to see the water and the sun, and moonrises (it was full) were generally spectacular. The place was great.

“Welcome to paradise!”

We fell in love with the house and the view right away.

After the long trip from Germany with various stop overs we finally felt at home, enjoied every minute on the terrace, in the garden and in the house.
The island is charming and the beaches wonderful and not crowded at all, the water cristal clear.
We´d loved to spend more time there instead of travelling around so much!
Everyone has been very helpful and kind and we´ve made friends easily.
We also enjoied cooking our dinners while watching the sun set from the kitchen and front porch, eating outside, playing Monopoli or watching one of the various movies available in the living room.
The matress in the master´s bedroom must come from the Rolls Royce factory! We slept like babies.
Having a garden ourselves, we loved spending time among the lovely plants and in the nearby nursery.
One can only appreciate and acknowledge the loving care put in creating such a wonderful place on the hills of paradise!
