Our three night stay at the chalet was exactly what we needed: a calm, quiet, and private retreat where the dog could romp and we could walk in the woods, sleep, and (sigh) get a little work done. We arrived late, after a difficult (heavy rain, fog) 4+ hour drive, and immediately melted into the toasty warmth and welcome Sylvia had prepared. The little things--coffee mugs that feel good in your hand, fluffy towels, excellent reading lights, comforters that comfort, and good pillows!--make the chalet especially wonderful. Very close to a great beach, even as the rain kept us mostly indoors; but colorful trees/leaves surrounding the chalet--a show of their own--were stunning. "Fruit of the forest" pie at Good Hart general store is to die for. Thank you, Sylvia. Very much.
