Our chalet is a little piece of heaven in that you are secluded in the woods of New Albany hill country that can be rented nightly, weekly or for long term coporate rentals. Outstanding views of downtown Louisville, Ky skyline can be enjoyed from the wrap-around deck with hot-tub. Fully furnished chalet with open floor plan, has kitchen with cherry cabinets and granite countertops, all bedrooms are upstairs while one bath is upstairs and other is downstairs as well as the laundry room and living room. (2) private practice golf holes are available as well as walking/hiking trails along old Buffalo migration trails. The changing seasons offer spectacular views of foilage and wildlife. One of the owners - David Ruckman creates fantastic stone sculptures all over the mountain.

Just minutes from Louisville, Kentucky our secluded chalet offers full downtown views from the back deck, with hiking trails, private golf holes and wildlife galore. In Louisville you can find fabulous dining in five star restaurants, trolley/art hops the first and last friday of every month, Churchill downs for spectacular horse racing events, museums, zoo, Louisville Bat factory, theaters, the YUM center which showcases athletic events and shows. The waterfront in Louisville has many summer events along with the Belvidere. Regional shopping choices are excellent with (2) malls in Louisville which are side by side and in Clarksville Indiana which also has (2) shopping centers side by side, along with a shopping mecca located in Clarksville along Veteran's Parkway. In Indiana Huber winery which is one of the largest winery's in Indiana, is within 15 minutes, Horseshoe Casino is within 15 minutes, golf and many dining possiblities in downtown New Albany which is within 5 minutes.

Our family enjoyed gathering in this beautiful woodland location for a weekend. Three sisters stayed at the chalet while others drove the short distance from their homes in Louisville. It is conveniently located just 2 miles off of interstate yet you feel like you are completely secluded. The nighttime view of the Louisville skyline was beautiful. The weather was mild so we enjoyed gathering on the deck as well as in the great room. Friday we hosted a spaghetti supper for 12 and Saturday was girls craft day. There was plenty of room to set up a couple of extra card tables and chairs for both events. Lighting was poor thoughout the house for reading (and crafts) during our down times. The owner was friendly and helpful with extra pots and pans, directions for local dining favorites, and more. The spot was great for our family and met our needs. We would recommend it to families or no more than 2 couples per stay. Our ride to the riverboat for the Paula Deen buffet was okay but I would not do it again.

This was the perfect setting for me and my sisters to getaway. What a peaceful and charming home you've created. We kept finding wonderful little touches of beauty scattered throughout the Chalet....and what a beautiful sunrise!!! We are already planning another visit.

Cold Winter Days

This has been a great visit! December is a great time to visit...firing up the buck stove and enjoying the decorations...even saw deer crossing the paths in the morning. I would highly recommend spending a few days in December.

It was so nice to have a getaway night and it felt like we'd driven to Brown County. The view is awesome adn we definately need to make a visit back. All the comforts of home are such a nice touch...we will share our stay with as many as possible to keep this special piece of heaven known...

Fun in the sun

Thanks so much for the great place to stay. I realized that I can't hit a golf ball and that hill ---whew.....The view is beautiful and will forever be in our thoughts. The art work all around the property is unbelievable. Hope to spend more time on the next visit.
