AWE INSPIRING LOG HOME LONG RANGE VIEWS WALK TO TROUT STREAM

Hot Springs Cabin Rental Photos and Description

3 Bedrooms, 3 Full Bathrooms, 1/2 bathroom, Sleeps 1-11

Custom luxury log home nestled in a National Park-like setting. Perched on top of a mountain ridge, the home has long range views to enjoy from the spacious decks. Private setting is a short walk to our pristine trout stream. Gated community with few homes, so walking is perfect for watching wildlife. Six miles to the quaint village of Hot Springs and the infamous natural mineral springs for soaking in along Spring Creek and the French Broad River. The Appalachian Trail goes through Hot Springs and the ridgeline of the AT is part of the view from the home. Come and visit the Blue Ridge Mountains at their finest; turkey, bear, bobcat, deer, raccoon, hawks, eagles, and owls share the neighborhood. The area is famous for its hiking and water sports. Relax, enjoy nature, breathe the fresh air, sit by the mtn. stream, hike through the National Forest, fish the stream, raft the French Broad River, and rejuvenate in the mountains.

Hot Springs Area: Appalachian Trail, French Broad River, Blue Ridge Mountains, Natural hot springs for soaking in the out of doors, Big Laurel River trout stream, fishing, rafting, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, Max Patch on the AT, organic food tailgate markets, Appalachian arts and crafts, authentic Bluegrass music and music festivals, authentic Appalachia.

Bear River Lodge: Gated community with over a mile of private mountain stream. Rustic 'Lodge' clubhouse on the river with rocking chairs and firepit.

Asheville: The Biltmore House, the Blue Ridge Parkway, nightly music venues, scrumptious dining in locally owned restaurants, trails, waterfalls, and too much to mention.

Our Home: Custom 2400 sq. ft. log home nestled in an awe inspiring park like setting. King-sized bed in the master suite with a soaking tub built for 2. Queen beds in bedrooms 2 and 3. Extremely comfortable queen sized futon in the media room. Queen air mattress available for additional guests. Comfortable sofa in loft sleeps 1. Living room has 'lodge' decor, stone 'woodstove' fireplace, vaulted craftsman style ceilings, leather furniture and huge windows for bringing the mountains 'in'. Fully appointed kitchen with granite countertops, Jennair downdraft cooktop, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, and wall oven. Media room has flat screen TV with satellite dish, wet bar, private bath, and porch. Hardwood and ceramic tile floors throughout. Gas grill on spacious deck with furniture for outdoor dining. Wi-fi internet and home telephone with free coast to coast long distance.

Bear River Lodge: Home is a short stroll to our beautiful trout stream, which flows for over a mile through the neighborhood. Take a stroll on an easy to hike 2 lane and enjoy the beauty and sounds of the stream. The neighborhood is sparsely populated so feel free to hike or ride bikes 5 miles to the top of the development and enjoy the nature of the surroundings. If you hike quietly you are likely to see deer, turkey, racoons and even a bear or bobcat.

I'm a real estate agent so if you come and fall in love I can help you find the perfect spot in the mountains too.

Deb Burks purchased this cabin in 2008

We were fortunate to be able to find such a perfect spot in the mountains, peaceful, beautiful, and surrounded by nature. This truly is as good as it gets:-)

Our home has soaring ceilings, beautiful wood throughout, ample windows for bringing the outdoors in, and is a comfortably appointed spacious log home.

AMAZING SETTING FOR INTIMATE WEDDING

  • 5 of 5
What an absolutely beautiful home! It had everything we needed and more- we had to force ourselves to leave! Deb was so helpful and pleasant to work with that the whole at-a-distance rental was effortless.
The views from the deck are amazing! I can't imagine a more glorious backdrop for a romantic wedding ceremony. This location filled all of our expectations of the perfect mountain wedding!
The property is so well cared for and comfortable that you settle right in to it. All the extra touches, the supply of toiletries, books to reads, selection of games, printed instructions and guides, plenty of towels, well stocked kitchen, make it feel like home. The availability of wi-fi for our ipad kept us connected and most of our phones had service, (we all had different providers).
We were not familiar with the area prior to our visit, but we fell in love with the Marshall/Hot Springs area. The rafting was amazing and we can't wait to go back for more gem mining, horseback riding, zip lining and of course - relaxing in the hot mineral springs!
Would highly recommend this property- it is incredibly affordable (you could easily have four couples share the space and not feel one bit crowded!), and even more beautiful and tastefully decorated than the pictures indicate. It is an easy drive from Asheville and you go right past the grocery on the way to the property. Thank you for such an amazing start to our new life together!

SPECTACULAR VIEWS AND TRANQUILITY!

  • 5 of 5
We had a terrific time at this beautiful slice of paradise! Deb is great to work with and all her staff and the cabin was even better than we thought. Views from every window, like a large tree house in the mountains. Home is very well appointed with everything you need and more. The guys loved the private trout stream to fish and we enjoyed the towns nearby. We all loved the cabin and didn't want to leave, highly recommend this to anyone, it was a wonderful relaxing getaway. Thanks Deb!

BEAUTIFUL LOG HOME WITH GORGEOUS VIEWS AND SPECTACULAR HOSPITALITY

  • 5 of 5
There are so many aspects that go into a wonderful rental property, and this one has them all. We had an exceptional experience with Deb and Jeff and their beautiful log home over a long Valentine's Day Weekend. Deb went out of her way to keep us up to date on the road conditions, and her husband came to treat the driveway. The little things made the difference, and we appreciated her efforts. There was cut wood for the wood burning stove/fireplace, an extra cell phone to use since our tmobile phones didn't work, we got to park in the garage, she offered us any of the extra food in the fridge and pantry. She was just one step ahead of us in making sure we were happy.

About the home....it was very clean, and it's straight out of a magazine. I love the warm glow of the wood, the leather furniture, the stain glass and beautiful lamps, the huge granite island, and of course the windows with the gorgeous views. We didn't go outside too much because of the snow, but there are beautiful rock accents on the log home, plenty of decks/porches, and patio underneath. The roads are paved, and there's a long driveway up to the house. It's very private.

For us, this was a great place to unwind and really relax. It was a very special place to stay for Valentine's Day. It's 6 miles from Hot Springs, very close to hiking in numerous places, close to white water rafting, etc. We did the mineral baths, massage, and ate at Iron Horse Station and Mountain Magnolia Bed and Breakfast. Our favorite was Iron Horse Station.

We would LOVE to stay here again. We've stayed in Hot Springs before, and this is by far our favorite place.

Thank you Deb and Jeff for being so wonderful!

PS Deb also told us about her favorite hiking place. It's along Laurel Creek. Park in the parking lot at the intersection of Hwy 208 and Hwy 25. It's fairly level and follows the creek. We saw 2 men kayaking in the snow and ice (brrrr). We're planning on bringing our kayaks in the summer. It's a beautiful walk if you want someplace close....it's just a few miles from the house and on the way to Hot Springs.

We had a short 3 day weekend trip for a whitewater rafting adventure and rented this beautiful log home. Thank you so much Deb and Jeff for letting us stay at your home.
