Deb Burks purchased this cabin in 2008
We were fortunate to be able to find such a perfect spot in the mountains, peaceful, beautiful, and surrounded by nature. This truly is as good as it gets:-)
Our home has soaring ceilings, beautiful wood throughout, ample windows for bringing the outdoors in, and is a comfortably appointed spacious log home.
We rented this log home again for my husband's birthday. We love staying here! It's safe, quiet and beautiful. We love sitting in front of the fireplace at night or hiking down to the river. The bed is comfortable, and Deb is so thoughtful and sweet in all the little details to make you feel welcome.
We had such an amazing stay. You will not be disappointed with this cabin. The pictures do not do this home justice. Deb graciously let us host our intimate wedding here. The backdrop was gorgeous. We had every amenity that we needed.
Also, for those who have mobility concerns, my grandfather, who is 88 and uses a walker, had no issues accessing the main floor of the home. You can easily drive up to the door. There are three small steps and you're there. While there are two other floors, everything you need is on the main floor. We had issues finding a cabin that fit his needs and this worked beautifully
Read the reviews, they are Spot On. I could fill a page but it has already been said. Deb and her husband make the difference, yes their home as well. Wish we could have stayed longer. No disappointments. Thank you for sharing and making a memorable stay for our family.
Beautiful home, so clean, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Picked fresh peaches right off the deck. Enjoyed our time at the stream, I read under a shade tree which my husband worked on his flying fishing. A great trip, very relaxing.
What an absolutely beautiful home! It had everything we needed and more- we had to force ourselves to leave! Deb was so helpful and pleasant to work with that the whole at-a-distance rental was effortless.
The views from the deck are amazing! I can't imagine a more glorious backdrop for a romantic wedding ceremony. This location filled all of our expectations of the perfect mountain wedding!
The property is so well cared for and comfortable that you settle right in to it. All the extra touches, the supply of toiletries, books to reads, selection of games, printed instructions and guides, plenty of towels, well stocked kitchen, make it feel like home. The availability of wi-fi for our ipad kept us connected and most of our phones had service, (we all had different providers).
We were not familiar with the area prior to our visit, but we fell in love with the Marshall/Hot Springs area. The rafting was amazing and we can't wait to go back for more gem mining, horseback riding, zip lining and of course - relaxing in the hot mineral springs!
Would highly recommend this property- it is incredibly affordable (you could easily have four couples share the space and not feel one bit crowded!), and even more beautiful and tastefully decorated than the pictures indicate. It is an easy drive from Asheville and you go right past the grocery on the way to the property. Thank you for such an amazing start to our new life together!

We had a terrific time at this beautiful slice of paradise! Deb is great to work with and all her staff and the cabin was even better than we thought. Views from every window, like a large tree house in the mountains. Home is very well appointed with everything you need and more. The guys loved the private trout stream to fish and we enjoyed the towns nearby. We all loved the cabin and didn't want to leave, highly recommend this to anyone, it was a wonderful relaxing getaway. Thanks Deb!
