If you do have a car, there is parking on the street.
Very Private and Quiet: The neighborhood is very peaceful and the street not commonly traveled: not a 'through street' which makes it a very peaceful street where people enjoy a lovely walk.
Architectually interesting and charming: Neighboring homes are charming and of unique design: some from the turn of the century. Very well known as the 'heart and soul' of Sausalito.
Safe and Secure: The location is very safe and secure in an extremely stable and friendly neighborhood.
Great Place. I am a writer and found this apartment to be just right: sunny, quiet and serene enviornment with a wonderful ambiance and very close to walk to all activities. Everything was extremely comfortable and well equpped. I rented a car and was always able to find a spot right in front. I will certainly come back later in the year for another week stay at this wonderful spot.
This is an adorable and comfortable one bedroom studio apartment is terrifically located in a quiet residential neighborhood. The huge sliding glass doors at the front of the unit look out through the trees to a peekaboo view of the water.
The pictures of the living room in the listing represent exactly how cute and well-maintained this property is.
Kitchen is small, but very functional - you're not going to cook a gourmet meal there, but who wants to? There are so many great places to eat in Sausalito and over the bridge in the city!
Definitely a great place! At this price point, you can't beat the location, convenience or charm. I will definitely return. :)
Rented the place because of location to family. The place and price was excellent! I will rent again. Very comfortable, for sleeping, showering, and walking to town. Did not cook but the kitchen is set up very nicely. So glad the place was available at the time I needed.
This place is a lower unit apartment in a house with an apartment above and a garage below. There is some noise, but nothing extreme - it's an apartment, after all, not a resort hotel. My wife and I stayed 7 days. The place was nice and cozy - pretty much what we were looking for. I found it hard to get a sense of the layout of the place from the pics - it's a "front room" (about 12 x 12) with a balcony, a galley kitchen, and a bedroom in back (about 10 x 10). The bathroom is accessible from the bedroom. So the whole place is really just 4 spaces. It's in a great neighborhood on the south end of town - very quiet. The balcony is shaded by a big tree in front, and from above by the balcony of the upper unit - again, nice and cozy, and good for sitting a long time as you are not exposed to too much sun, and the breezes are great. The hills were a workout for us flatlanders, but not bad as long as we weren't carrying a lot of stuff. I was there for work (up and down daily) and my wife enjoyed some sightseeing. I didn't want to rent a car, and this place was in a great location, so I didn't need one. Since it was for work, I compared this price to every hotel in town and this was the least expensive option. It compares very favorably to any place in town for the price. I'd recommend it.
We would definitely not recommend this property to ANYONE, certainly not a friend. There is no view whatsoever from the apartment which is actually quite dark. The picture on the website of San Franciso must have been taken from another location. (We asked for extra lighting but, as with everything else, there are no extras) The owner, whom we never met, is an expert at making up descriptions (Camelot views) as well as false accusations. She trumped up charges against us in order not to retun our deposit. We have stayed in multiple other properties and have never before experienced anything similar. We are a middle-aged couple and are always very careful when in someone else's home. We should have suspected something when reading the responses she made to other reviews, accusing people of various things. Next time we'll know better. Stay away from this property - but not from Sausalito!
Property was exactly as advertised.Photos were accurate and the property was very clean and tidy.Bathroom worked well but needs to be upgraded to more modern requirements.Would willingly recommend to friends.Bar Bocce great for lunch. Will probably return for further stay.Great location with views of San Francisco at sunrise and sunset through the trees.
