This fabulous flat is famous! Woody Allen's movie PARLIAMENT VIEW was filmed here, and EUROPEAN VACATION, the roundabout scene, was filmed just in front of Parliament View. The location is amazing with the beautiful Albert Embankment and the River Thames in front of you. The living room and three bedrooms have views over the Thames to Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, and to the London Eye. It is a panorama of immense beauty; all London is right there. At night, the lighted city and the facade of the Parliament buildings with lighted Big Ben are memorable. The lighted LONDON EYE at night, colors changing continually, is an amazing scene. The Archbishop of Canterbury lives in Lambeth Palace next to Parliament View. Cross Lambeth Bridge, with all the fabulous views up and down the river, and wander through the gardens of Parliament to Parliament Square and Westminster Abbey/St. Margaret's Church. Westminster Tube Station is about a 12-minute walk.

Great location - Incredible View!

My husband and I, along with another couple, just returned from our 6 night stay at 3-53 Parliament View. It was everything we expected and more! The location and view simply can’t be beat.

Tips: The driver transport that London Connection arranged from Heathrow was superb. It was cheaper for us than using the Heathrow Express, and our driver gave us lots of commentary and tips on places to see while in London. If it wasn’t for him, we would have missed the changing of the horse guards which was really cool to see. He also gave us some tips on pubs and restaurants in our area.

Definitely take the time to figure out the bus system and purchase an Oyster card. There are a number of buses that pick up right outside the front door and will take you all over the city. And, the N3 bus runs all night so even after the subway is closed for the evening, you can still utilize this safe means of travel to return right back to the apartment.

Also, the let-in person didn't tell us, but there are a bunch of handy travel guides, restaurant books, etc in the tv cabinet!

Great Home Base

We had an absolutely fantastic time. The property was clean and fully-functional (although the front room was missing blinds). The location offered great views, day and night, and seemed to be right around the corner or down the street from virtually every transit connection. That said, walking back into Lambeth or along the embankment was so pleasant that we often found ourselves preferring the journey on foot.

The area is lively, particularly during commuter's hours, but did lack the variety of dining and entertainment options that you might find in other locations -- but this was hardly a problem since we spent most of our time outside of the immediate area. I would recommend the flat, without hesitation, to anyone looking for picturesque views of London, but especially those who don't mind leaving the neighborhood (by foot, bus, or tube) for dining and/or entertainment.

Parliament View Apartment Review

My family and I stayed in the Parliament View apartment during the last week of August. We really enjoyed our stay in the apartment. It was very comfortable, clean and had all the necessary amenities for our stay. The location is convenient because you can either walk right across the Lambeth Bridge into the Westminster area, or hop on the #3 bus that stop right outside the apt and take that all the way into Oxford Circus or Trafalgar Square. The management company is very good, we were met on time by a representative who took the time to clearly explain everything to us and show us all the appliances in the kitchen. One time we lost the wi-fi and called the office, it was fixed very quickly. We used their driver too, and that worked out very well. I highly recommend both the management company and this particular apartment. I would use them again without reservation.
