MAGNIFICIENT APPARTMENT IN THE HEART OF MONTREAL (PLATEAU MONT-ROYAL)

Lew and I were depressed when we left on 8/7/12.....had way too much fun in this fantastic neighborhood!! OK, so we managed to hit the major heat wave in Montreal but thank goodness for the A/C in the master bedroom (we didn't use the other bedroom but it is a good size). Pierre is a gracious host and his "guide" to various restaurants, most helpful. Highly recommend PINTX--the best tapas ever thanks to Alonzo, the chef, and his magnificent staff. Also, UNIVERSAL--Dennis, the manager, a treasure. ELSIE, on Roy, great bar, and the 1st Sunday of the month features Malcolm, the sax player and his band---packed! MOISHES, within easy walking distance, considered the best steakhouse in Montreal and between 9pm-midnight, Thurs. thru Sat., the $25/fixe prix is a "bargain". We hope to be back soon. Usually we stay at a hotel in Old Town but liked this much better. OH, and the Marches Jean-Talon is a must. The best. Prefer it over Atwater. I wax poetic yet cannot say enough good things about this location, the cleanliness (and I am very, very OCD when it comes to clean) of the apartment, the helpfulness of Pierre...just GO, AND HAVE FUN.

We love this place which is totally surprising and pleasant. Pierre was accommodating and helpful in every possible way. The street parking was confusing but it was resolved. Also, the check in time was confusing. The previous tenants left late and we were told to come back later. We left our bags and had dinner. Every amenities was thought out, like we were home. The nearby bakery/patissierie was fantastic. Tres Bon! Pierre!

This was a lovely place for my family to stay in during our 3 night visit to Montreal. The apartment itself was very clean, stocked with everything we needed in the Kitchen. The bathroom even has a washer/dryer. The location was extremely convenient, just 2-3 blocks from the metro. We also walked to the Jazz Festival along St. Laurent. There were a lot of restaurants just nearby on Rue St. Denis and Laurent. The cobblestone street across the road and the nearby park were also very charming.

Pierre was very pleasant to coordinate with and he made the whole process easy. The AC in the master bedroom wasn't powerful enough to cool the entire apartment. But the weather wasn't too hot and the apartment is actually quite cool on its own due to the shady street so wasn't an issue. There's also a fan. Definitely would recommend for your stay in Montreal!
