Photos and Description of the Tavronitis vacation rental 3 bedroom villa, minutes from the beach, shops and tavernas.

The Villa is in the most beautiful setting in a valley overlooking olive groves, and views of the white mountains and sea. You will find it in the village of Darmarohori a quiet traditional village, but yet only 15 minutes drive from the other lively resorts of Platanias and Kissamos. There is a taverna 5 mins gentle walk from the villa and a shop 1 min walk.The local beach is only 5 mins by car. A 25 minute drive will take you to beautiful Chania with its Venetian buildings and narrow winding alleys ( known as little Venice). There is something for everyone in Crete from walking in the mountains, bird watching, dolphin watching, boat trips, go karts, horse riding, snorkling, diving, a water park and even bungy jumping!! Our Villa makes for a wonderful family holiday, we have tried to make it less of a hassle to travel that is why we have included a cot, pushchair,highchair, childrens dvd's and toys and the all important microwave.

Drive 5 mins from the villa and you will find the villages of Tavronitis and Kamisiana they have supermarkets, Tavernas, bakers, butchers, a pharmacy and the most amazing cake shop. Head towards Platanias and there you will find bouncy castles for the children and crazy golf for the bigger children. Plus a multitude of shops, tavernas and of course the beach. Beaches are a multitude whether you want quiet or busy there is something for everyone!!

facilities outside: There is a built in BBQ area with kitchen units and sink. Just outside of the lounge there is a sofa and coffee table, also in the garden are 4 sun beds and a marble mosaic table and 6 chairs for those alfresco meals. The pool is a private pool and is 7 meters. There is an outhouse which has a washing machine, clothes horse, ironing board, washing basket, pegs and a pushchair.

linen: All bed linen is provided as are indoor towels. There is a maid service once a week and a welcome pack can be arranged at an additional cost.

air conditioning: All rooms have got air conditioning and central heating for the winter.

wonderful villa

Having spent 10 days in this villa I can only praise the owners, Lesley and Tim, for equipping their property in such a fantastic way. There was everything that you could wish for in the villa, and more.
The property is in a superb location, within easy reach of the surrounding towns, but also far away from them to give you peace and quiet for the relaxing holiday.
The village Darmarohori has only a few houses, a local supermarket and a Taverna.
A car is a must if you are thinking of hiring this villa, however there are plenty of car hire companies around.
This is an ideal base either for relaxing in the villa and enjoying the pool, or as a base for sightseeing, after all, this side of Crete is such a beautiful country and well worth seeing.

peaceful holiday villa

Having spent 9 days at White Mountain View I would like to praise Lesley and Tim for renting out a very well equipped property, they have thought of everything that you will require at the accommodation.
It is in a very secluded area, the village has a tavera, shop and a few houses, but is also within easy driving distance of the local towns where everyone seem to be very friendly.
You really do need access to a vehicle at all times if you want to visit the surrounding areas as local transport would not be so easy from the villa.
Places of interest are numerous, and if you just want to laze in the sun then the pool in the property is fantastic, so is the peace and quiet.
Overall, a wonderful holiday,highly recommended.
Our experience at Heraklion airport was the only downside to the holiday,it was hot and stuffy, unfortunately for us there was an air traffic strike on, which meant a very long delay in extremely uncomfortable surroundings.
