Welcome to our Key Colony Beach vacation home. We are located at the end of the canal between 8th and 9th streets and enjoy an unobstructed views from the kitchen, sitting area, dining room, and living room directly down our beautiful canal. Our home is bright with twice the windows facing the water than similar Key Colony homes, spacious (1,700+ sq ft) and is furnished in upscale West Indies decor. Our home is well equipped with all you will need on your vacation including cable TV and free high-speed wireless Internet. The master and second bedrooms are decorated with tasteful beach decor each with their own TV. The master has a king bed and the guest bedroom has both a queen and twin bed. Large one car garage and 30' of dock space. The Cabana Club with pool and beach are only a short walk.

My husband and I love Key Colony Beach. This was our third year staying here but the first time renting this house. A perfect choice that I'm not sure can be outdone! We wanted something bigger and something wonderful to help our friends celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary who came on this trip with us. We found it!! This home is everything it is described to be and more. It is beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and inviting. It has everything you need for your stay.
The pictures down the canal are exactly what it looks like but in person it is absolutely breathtaking!
We grilled on the patio, ate outside, had our coffee on the deck every morning, you can even do the dishes while looking straight down the canal. It is amazing!
We recommend:
*Kayaking at Robbie's.
*Buying fresh fish from Brutus' fish market to grill or catching your own to eat. We had a standing fishing Charter with BestBet in the Key Colony marina. A great day was had by all of us and Cobia was for dinner!
*Sparky's bar in the marina and Cabana Breezes bar (next door to the Cabana Club)
*In Key West and highly recommend finding Blue Heaven for breakfast or some Key Lime pie.
*You can also charter a fishing trip with Pete (Native Sun) from next door. We enjoyed our week living next door to him, his daughter and the Cheecho the cat!

We had a perfect week and absolutely love this house and would definitely stay here again!

An amazing stay at a very comfy home!

This property is absolutely fantastic! The house is located in the best area of Marathon (Key Colony), and is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It had everything we needed (full usable kitchen with all necessities for cooking, towels, washer and dryer, blow dryer, etc.) The owner was more than accommodating and I would recommend this home away from home to everyone! My husband and I look forward to staying there again soon.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities, Romantic Getaway

The house is very, very nice. All new furniture and appliances TV etc. It is on the end of the canal but the water is clean and it does not trap any debris. The dock is new with a filet station and hose. Bait freezer in garage. My only issue was with the driveway. It is short and steep so it is hard to keep a boat trailer there. If you do bring blocks. Better to buy the $50 permit and park in the public lot. You cannot park your boat on the trailer in the drive and you are apparently not allowed to keep the boat on the trailer in the public lot. Therefore you will have to unload the day or night of arrival and haul it out the mornig of departure. Plan accordingly. Hopefully, the town of KCB will change the policy regarding having a boat on the trailer in the public. It makes and am departure much easier.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Families with Teenagers, Romantic Getaway
Owner's Response: Helpful Hint: Boats can be parked on your trailer for overnight storage in the driveway as long as the trailer is more than 25 feet from the center line of the street. You may also ask our management company if they have a convenient place for your boat and trailer's overnight storage.

What you see is what you get. This property has a wow factor for sure, which is exactly what we said when we walked in. It has everything you need to make your vacation great, very comfortable furniture, the kitchen is fully equipped and it's very bright and and very clean.
Booking the property was easy from start to finish with very friendly staff at the rental company when picking up the keys.
After travelling to different places in the Keys I can honestly say that I am very pleased with Key Colony Beach, it is a very nice and maintained area offering some nice restaurants also. We ate at Key Colony Inn, nice food but just realize you will be eating leftovers for a week! Sparky's is also a good place, very popular offering a big menu, the fish tacos was awesome and very filling. We went to Cabana Club on our first and last day to relax, we really enjoyed the food, the pool was OK, not the best beach but the kids enjoyed it. For a good beach you need to go to Bahia Honda State Park.
We also went to Theater On The Sea, great attraction for all ages with sea lion shows,Dolphin shows and a parrot show, The Turtle Hospital is really neat too, make sure you book in advance because of limited space. We was recommended Captain Hooks to go snorkeling, this was very reasonably priced and a lot of fun, please realize it is not shallow water where you go, but they do provide life vests or noodles.
We will definitely be considering going back to Palm Cottage again, and would recommend this place in a heart beat. Also, the neighbors are great, very helpful and friendly, if you want to go fishing just ask your neighbor as he runs a sport fishing charter!

the listing description was very accurate, but the photos don't give it the justice it deserves. The property was immaculate inside and out. The owners were very helpful and asked if there was anything else we would need, there was not one thing we could think off. We are looking forward to visiting again next year. .The swim club is a bonus, we highly recommend Franks and the Key Colony Inn for dinners, also Sparky's has a great happy hour.
